Scott Archery Rhino XT Release with Buckle Strap, Black

This is a great release! It has enhanced my shooting groups immensely. I went from 6"-8" groups to 2"-3" groups! I really like the feel of the trigger at its factory setting. I had to adjust the length of it to its maximum to fit my hand - my palms are really long. It feels short, but when it is hooked around the loop and under tension from drawing it feels good. It does take a little bit to get used to. I went from using an old 90's ball bearing Trophy Hunter release to this. It surprises you, which it should, but you get used to it. The leather of the buckle strap is good and forms easily around my wrist. I debated on buying a less expensive release from another manufacturer, but decided to go with Scott Archery's good reputation. I didn't read about anyone having any misfires with their releases. So far I haven't had any.

Scott Achery makes a great release. This style was not for me. As a side bar, please make the straps for men - please. I am 6'1" and 225 lbs. I would consider my hands - "man hands". Scott has a really small strap system on all their releases, typically I am at the last hole or second to the last hole on any of their buckle straps. I understand women, kids and others are joining the great sport of archery shooting, however, accomodate all of us. Thanks, "Man-hands"

I ordered this release expecting the adjustable nylon connector as shown however the solid post version was delivered. Beside that I would say that the quality of the trigger is good. It come from the factory with the lightest spring installed and includes additional springs in the package to increase the trigger tension. With the factory trigger it is more described as medium-light not "heavy" as advertised. Release is crisp. The trigger mechanism is surprisingly simple and made of a nicely polished stainless, however the hook does not completely release out of the way of the string when triggered. I don't really know if this affects the travel of the string and therefore the arrow but it seems weird. I would say the strap is mediocre. I much prefer the Tru-Fire strap, the scott strap is thin and more difficult to put on. I wish I could put this release on a Tru-Fire strap. All things considered I'm this is a decent release if you get the right one in the mail.

I have abused this release for 3 years now I have had it soaking wet for days, banged it on climbing sticks, sent thousands of arrows, and it is the same as the day i got it. The new fad in target shooting is back pressure, however if you are a hunter i think you should keep it simple. This is as simple as you can get.

I ordered this because it shows the nylon strap option of the Rhino XT release, which I specifically needed for my smaller hands because it is more adjustable. However, like the other reviewer said, I received the solid swivel connector. I was very disappointed by the misleading photo, however this release is useable for my husband, so I just gave it to him. I will have to try again elsewhere, I would just purchase the nylon strap release in store somewhere, but it's been out of stock for weeks. The release itself is great quality. Please change the photos and description to specify exactly which release you will be getting for future buyers though.

This is the second Rhino for me and is used for backup. Primary like for this release is heavier adjustable (three springs) trigger pull. It will also help those with target panic resolve some issues. I've heard this release may be discontinued, which is another reason for my purchase. This is also an excellent release for those just starting or changing from fingers.

Tried my brothers and liked it a lot. Looked on Amazon and found this one that said used. Bought for 1/2 price of a new one and found the release was new except package had been opened. Great value. I have been shooting with this release for awhile now and love it.

Product works great, but did not come with accessories as described. Description states that it comes with the swept back curved trigger and it does not. I should have listened to the reviews about not being as described, but I did not. My fault for going against my gut instinct. Otherwise, it is as described and pictured and is a great release.
