She LOVED that she could make her very own glow necklace
This toy was a BIG hit with my 8 year old niece. She LOVED that she could make her very own glow necklace. I did purchase the tonic water to go with the gift at the grocery store so she would be ready to play with it right away. Do be aware that these dolls don't come with all that is needed to do the "experiment". It would be a letdown I am sure to receive one without the needed ingredients to play with it. Anyway, my niece quickly began playing with it and even the boys in our family begged to take turns wearing the glow necklace. It worked really well, especially in a dark room. The only thing that keeps this toy from receiving 5 stars is the fact that the necklace leaked at the top where it screws in. The seal was not great, which made it leak a little of the tonic water. Overall, it was a hit!

Great doll, terrible packaging
This is a great doll. She is completely articulated but not 'floppy,' the accessories are detailed and interesting, and, though she is over-tall, there's no attempt to make her body look too mature or unrealistic. My daughter asked (frequently) to have the doll with the 'science experiment' glowstick, which is kind of a dud. It only requires a little assembly and is actually a small flashlight, which is not uncool, but not at all like a science experiment. The packaging is horrendous. Kids should not attempt to open it without the help of an adult. It's tethered to the box in over a dozen places, with plastic cord that must be cut. Without a great deal of caution, it would be very easy to cut the doll's hair, clothing or body while trying to free it from the box.

A Refreshing Change!
I purchased this doll as a Christmas present for my daughter and I like the theme behind this doll because it shows girls that there is more to life than makeup and high-heeled shoes. The doll is science based and follows the idea of S.T.E.A.M. ( science, technology, engineering, art and math). The doll also comes with an experiment and connections to the website that offers more experiments that can be done at home. This was reinforcement that was positive and allows science, technology and math to be cool for more than just boys. I believe this doll and the others in the series are an excellent idea because they show girls smart is the new beautiful! Lastly, the dolls also look like GIRLS! "My Project got a B-"
Well..... I've had this doll for a little over a week now, and I LOVE her!!! Soo..... why didn't I give a full 5 stars you ask?! I'll tell ya.One reason (the main reason) is her head. It never really stands up straight. She's like a giant bobble head, just always falling over to one side. It makes it really hard to dress and style her! Reason #2, her long beautiful hair. Like a lot of Mattel dolls, it's very spotty and patchy. Like she needs a lot of doll Rogaine. So unless you're really good at rerooting dolls...which I am not, this will might get pretty annoying after a while.I will tell you one thing I do sort of like though. Her limbs, i.e., hands and legs come apart and connect back together. This makes it a lot easier to dress and redress her.Anywho, I hope this review helps!! =)

I bought this doll for my daughter's 5th birthday and she LOVES it! Unfortunately there are a few things wrong that a 5 year old won't notice. Namely the glow stick leaks like crazy which is messy and makes it impractical to wear. The other problem is it's not really a science project, it only glows because there's a light shining on it. I was hoping for a chemical reaction or something that actually helps her learn something about science. My daughter is crazy about chemistry, so it was disappointing that this didn't offer more of a learning opportunity. Otherwise though the doll is super cute and moves even more than a barbie.

Learning Science is Fun
I purchased this doll for my God Daughter. She loves it. She told me that she loves science because she can learn and have fun at the same time. After that statement, I just had to purchase the remaining doll-experiment sets for her. One caution -- My God Daughter's Mom said my God Daughter completed some of her experiments in the bathroom, on the rug, and even ended up with dyed arms. So, make sure you supervise the child when she / he completes these experiments.

Very Cool!
I bought this for an Angel Tree gift, knowing nothing about it. I was surprise at how cool it was when it showed up. I like the fact that it inspires girls to conduct scientific experiments. Interestingly enough, I had a pair of pixelated sunglasses similar in style to the ones this doll wears that had never been worn that I included with the doll. I'm sure that the little girl who got this was very happy.

I got this as a Christmas present for my 10 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. She is very much into science and the little science project that comes with this doll is her favorite part. She has the whole set and is very happy with them all. I personally am very happy with the fact that they are making dolls that are designed to get girls more interested in science, which is traditionally a male dominated field.
