Does a great job sharpening kitchen knives. A bit of a learning curve to get the right grind toward the tip, as the handle needs to be pulled off parallel. It would be good for Sorby to sell the knife holder by itself for people who already have the platten and jig rest with the short jig. Good quality tool!
