Reasonable, but fundamentatally flawed
I was pleased when I first received the mount as it comes in a well designed box and is professionally packaged. First impressions were of a well-designed mount. There has obviously been some though put into this product. The downside is that it just doesn't function as well as it should. I built it up and fitted it to my bike. First issue is the mechanism for securing it to the handlebars seems very precarious. It relies on a little transverse plastic bar, which was far from secure. It would definitively need something like a cable tie to secure it. Next problem is that my iPad had to be removed from its (slim) case to fit into the jaws. This made me even more cautious about the handlebar mechanism, because if it did fall and the iPad were to fall out there was now no case to protect it. The final straw for me was the realisation that the iPad could only be mounted in landscape mode. Same for an iPad Mini, which i also tried in it. If I'd read the description properly I would have realised this. I use the bike on Zwift and the Zwift mobile app only works in portrait mode, so having the iPad in landscape is useless. This was particularly disappointing as Tacx trainers are used very extensively on Zwift, so I would think this is a critical design point. To round up, if you only want to watch TV/films and are happy to secure the handlebar clamp with a cable tie or similar, this is reasonable for the money. If you use Zwift and the mobile app it's useable. I've returned mine and ordered a different make. When on the bike it feels reasonably 'flexible' and considering

It’s good, but it’s not right.
I’m on bracket number two as the first one had to go back as one of the bolts was cross threaded and couldn’t be tightened.I’m a little underwhelmed by this item. There are three key things wrong with it in my opinion: it isn’t big enough to take my iPad in portrait mode so I can’t use it with the Zwift Companion app as that doesn’t work in landscape; the screen when mounted is quite far away, which is fine if you’re just watching something, but if you need to touch the screen you’re stretching probably more than you’d like to when pushing the Watts on the bike; lastly, I’m not sure if this was to fill the space or if it was designed specifically but there is a space for a water bottle on the bracket. I don’t know about you, but I have cages on my frame for water bottles so it’s a little surplus to requirements and when there’s a bottle on there it impedes the screen.Look, it does what it’s supposed to, mostly, and looks pretty good with a pad in there, but I have a feeling there are probably better designed ones out there, but probably at more inflated price.

Not bad...
I bought this for use on my (hybrid) bike on my turbo trainer.Once I put it together, using the thickest of the 3 supplied handlebar adjuster grips, it fitted nicely over my handlebars. Then just needed to fit the transverse bar which basically stops it rotating. It holds my ipad still and even when i've got up to pedal virtually "up hills" - there is little to no movement. So overall I am pleased. However for future versions I would advise Tacx the following....1. Make the holder a little deeper so I don't have to take my ipad out of its case each time - it really is very slim fitting and will not accommodate an ipad in it's case....you have to trust the holder that it won't fall out and smash!!2. The adjustment sliders are manual screw & tighten - a bit agricultural in this day and age - maybe this could be done on a spring/clamp type operation like most other phone/tablet holders.

Great tablet mount to help make those gruelling winter trainer sessions fun!
It's worked like a charm for me, I've saw lots of mixed reviews so hunted around but kept coming back to this as I couldn't find much else out there. I fitted on a canondale supersix no issues bar being a little careful with wires etc if your handle bars are thicker in the middle as they are on my hybrid..it might not fit, it did on my hybrid but only just....so I can understand some of the comments hereOnce fitted it sits there happily taking the weight of my iPad Air, I watch loads of CTXX videos (just google turbo trainer and then videos) they are really good ranging from 15 mins to 60 mins...my fav is actually the 25 min interval session for workout vs time - trust me it's not easy but really goodMy experience has been very positive with this device and I actually really enjoy turbo sessions now 😊🚴🏻🚴🏻🚴🏻

Really good bit of kit to help with the monotony of a turbo trainer
This is perfect. I use this on my bike on the turbo trainer inbetween cycle days. Perfect in the winter as turbo time is a bit more frequent. I have a Nexus 7 in use on it (see photos) and it fits fine. Im surprised by the quality on it to be honest.Im using the incorrect spacer in the photo but it doesnt matter as the latch section stops it moving around anyway....You could almost ride around with this thing attached and watch a movie!Recommended if, like me, you struggle with the boredom of the trainer as you can put your shows on it to help you through - I have GCN 20 min HIIT workout on the tablet and its great....Recommended
