Are the blades on this sharp inside the curve like a mat tool? I don't need something that will "thin" the fur by cutting it.

It is also for getting rid of mats and tangles, so I would say yes.

What is your definition of “small” dog?

I use my deshedder on my shih tzu, and if you’re not familiar with the breed, he is about 20 pounds.

I have a lab mix with short and medium length wavy hair. Will this work go through her hair? Thank you.

They have one for short to medium length. Might try that. Not sure of the difference - they look identical. It would be nice if the seller or manufacturer answered some of these questions. :/

What's the difference between the medium and small sizes, besides handle length?

Good morning! The Length on both handles is 9 inches, the difference is the Small height on the teeth is 1.62, the Medium is 1.75. “If you need further assistance or I did not fully answer your question, please call Coastal Pet Products at (800) 821-0248, Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm EST and ask to speak to our customer service department.”
