KylebookerFly Fishing Vest Pack Adjustable for Men and Women

Bought this vest to replace a vest ive had for 15years for an upcoming salmon fishing trip in NY. I didn't want to spend $100+ on a similar vest from a name brand company. I researched several fishing vests before ultimately deciding on the kylebooker fly fishing vest. I do a lot of river fishing and not all of it is fly fishing...this is a great vest to store your lures, pliers and any other stuff you may need. It worked out great for the salmon trip to NY last week. We had a group of 6 kids with us that were constantly needing hooks, bait, re tied, untangled etc etc...needles to say I was in and out of all of the pockets for 3 days straight getting the things I needed to keep them fishing. The zippers functioned well and the adjustable straps were a big plus for me. I'm 6'6" tall and nothing ever fits me the way its supposed to, this vest was able to adjust to fit me perfectly...has a wide range of adjustment to fit any size person. There is a zippered pocket as well as a large mesh pocket on the back of the vest. the zippered pocket is great for holding snacks (I had full of granola bars etc for kids) or whatever you decide to use it for...The mesh pocket is big enough to fit an extra shirt or coat if needed.If I had to pick a few things that could be improved on I would say the zipper handle being placed on the right side of the zipper...its on the left and takes a minute to get used to.I wouldn't mind if the zippered pockets were a bit larger to hold the small storage lure boxes I have now...but, ive also had those for 15 years along with my old vest and its time to replace them anyway.I hope to have this vest as long as I had the other.

Immediately after putting this vest on I caught 50% more fish then before, immediately! I was fishing with my buddy and I told him “buddy, we’re gonna need a bigger boat”. Sure enough, he was eaten by a shark. I wasn’t because I was wearing the vest.It has front pockets which are great for my flies, and backpack for storing this and thats, plenty of cargo and fits well.Now I can’t really backup my 50% more fish claim, but we’re all fishermen and exaggerating is part of the sport. Lots of storage though, lightweight, feels comfy. RIP buddy.

Great vest. I purchased 5 other vests and compared them side by side. This vest won over the rest. More D rings, deeper pockets. The pockets that are parallel to the zipper are also deeper. The mesh on the back allows for storage and comes with snaps to secure the opening. Only drawback for the vest is the zipper. I could be heavier duty. However that disadvantaged was cancelled out because you can also close this vest with a nice buckle that you can't see in the pictures. ( KyleBooker could do a better job and provide more pictures...they would probably outsell the vests in the similar price range. ) I can't wait to get on the water with this new purchase.

I was looking for something not to break the bank, but let me see if I would like a vest as I have always used one kind of pack or another, figured I would get this before I spent the big $$ on a Simms or fishpond.And all I can say is WOW, I will not be getting a fishpond or simms, why spend they money on a fishpond when this vest is almost the samething, I know because I went by the local sporting good store on my way out to give this a test.This vest is awesome, plenty of storage space, light weight, adjustable and comfortable. I am so happy with this vest I'm beside myself. It looks to be built well and the price makes it a steal. If you think I'm joking pull them up side by side and compare, then look at the price difference. This is a know brainers.After having it out on the water a couple times still feel the same way as this is a great vest so much so I have looked at there other products. Don't know if there quality will be the same but as good as this vest is figured it was worth checking out.

I would not order this again. I received it in early January and really did not look it over because I wasn't planning on using it for some time. When I did look at this vest I noticed that the zipper had not been sewn in properly at the bottom and it was already loose and obviously was going to pull out with use. When I went to return it I discovered I only had 30 days to return this item and I was a few day beyond that. I never even used this vest and am most unhappy with the quality and the failure of the company to stand behind its obviously defective product. Don't buy!

I really love this vest, I've been flyfishing for 42 years and this is the nicest vest I've worn in a long time. My only complaint is that the shoulder straps NEED something like velcro (or a safety pin at least), to prevent the strap from pulling through the buckle on occasion. I've fished in the vest about 10x so far so I can't speak to it's long term durability but overall, a great fly vest for the money.

everything looks good just got it yesterday, looking through it though I noticed that the 2 front lower compartments for fly storage doesn't have the foam pieces to actually hold the flies..... I looked at this vest on a few different sites and some showed them and others no mention... it just bugs me that for what ever price that a stupid little thing like this is omitted.. now before I can use it I have to go searching for these pieces that wholesale are maybe worth $1.00 kinda makes me want to look at another brand when I was going to order the bigger vest with more options.. maybe it all won't be there either.... Nice vest though...

I've been fly fishing for about 5 years. For 4 of them I was using my float tube which has many pockets to store my gear. I started fly fishing for Sea Run Cutthroat at a Puget Sound beach near my home from shore which made buying a vest logical. I have several hundred flies and there are enough pockets to put all of them in this vest. The zippers are of good quality and the vest adjusts to fit just about anybody. I've never owned another vest to compare this one to but I believe most fly fisherman and woman would be satisfied with this one. I don't know why Amazon added an option to say how warm it is. Fly fishing vests are made for storage not warmth. That's where Patagonia merchandise and their competitors should be judged. Happy fishing everyone!!!

Item is of good quality, lots of adjustment possibilities so will fit youth to adult. Recommend throwing in a few stitches after the adjustment as buckles slip a bit but I do this with all.Overall fit 5 -6'3 ftOverall very good value for the money
