I am very happy with this 'less expensive' range from REALLY USEFUL BOXES. They appear to be good quality, feel sturdy, and with secure clip closures, best of all, they are stackable / nestable to save storage space when not in use, whereas, the original version does not have this feature. If you do not chuck them around carelessly or over load them, then I think they should be very durable.Yes the original range does feel sturdier and can most likely take more abuse, hence way more expensive, therefore, it is unfair for some reviewers to expect the same quality. Having said that, most plastic are NOT unbreakable. If you drop it hard or knock it about without care, it will crack or chip, this is evident when my toddler son broke an original stronger USEFUL BOX during play time.This range also appears less bulky without compromising on storage capacity. Unlike the original box with lots of nooks and crannies to give the box extra strength, this range is smooth which makes cleaning way easier, and to me, they appear more aesthetically pleasing.For my need, this cheaper version is sufficient, it coped really well for moving my son's stuff to uni even though some boxes were fully loaded with heavy items. Overall, I think they represent great value for the money.Be warned, you will have to scrutinise the boxes and lids after receiving delivery, because they are not well padded and therefore prone to transit damage from knocks and drops. The order I received had some damages and Amazon was quick to send replacements. On another direct order from Ryman, over 50% of the boxes / lids had suffered transit damage due to insufficient packaging.

We have numerous of "Really Useful Box" boxes in many differing sizes. I was a bit unsure if these were from someone else as the design and handles look to differ. After checking their own web site you can see that these are genuine. From what I can see they now offer this new budget option which is certainly less robust but better value. They still offer the original more sturdy boxes, the XL boxes which seems to have additional rigidity again and a stronger still near-white plastic option.We have many of the 18 litre boxes which has "rigid struts" and thicker plastic, certainly more robust but at a greater cost and rarely in stock at Amazon. However, despite these 17.5 litre boxes being noticeably less robust they're more than adequate for safely storing household items. Certainly excellent value and still much better quality than any box I've yet to encounter at any home or DIY store.

I've bought quite a few of these recently. I was a bit worried about people complaining about them being damaged in transit. Maybe I've been lucky but all of mine have arrived intact. Sure they are likely not as robust as the main line of Really Useful boxes but for the price they are really good and the stacking feature is a bonus. I will probably be buying more in future.

These are not "Really Useful Box" and if they are they have changed their product to a cheaper version . They are flimsy and the plastic is thinner .This product turned up damaged as well. I believe these are a cheap imitation ! No logo embossed on plastic either . Be careful people

I have been a fan of Really Useful Boxes for years. They are very sturdy but pricey and do not stack when not in use. This time I needed some temporary storage for lighter items. These worked for my purpose but do bear in mind that they are NOT the usual, strong, study Really Useful Box which you may be used to. These stacking boxes will not survive heavy storage use. They do not have the reinforced base, or heavy duty handles and I believe they could be a lighter gauge of construction than the original Really Useful Boxes. Choose what fits your purpose and you will be happy!

Very happy with this storage. I've got lots of really big tubs for my toddlers toys and it just ends up a big jumble.This size is perfect. I can store and see what he has. Better to seperate my boys stuff.After reading about brittleness ect I didn't have massively high hopes for this item. But mine arrived in excellent condition (with fragile stickers on the packaging) and it doesn't feel as flimsy as I expected. Sure its not heavy duty for this size but I can't see them getting damaged.Would repurchase. 👍

Only 2 of 3 boxes were usable as 2 seemed to be warped and could not get the lids on. The plastic was flimsy and the box not formed properly. Was disappointed that these appeared NOT to be from the genuine really useful box range. No branding as such and definitely not the same quality. Returning.

I love these boxes, I have loads of them for storing stuff easily, they are not too big nor to small. The lids clip securely and they stack well. I received the exact same boxes as I ordered from Argos 12 months ago so these are not fakes as other reviews suggest.
