Green Tea extract that is decaffeinated and higher in quality than the product I previously used (UPDATED: see note)
UPDATE (12/15/16): I have just re-ordered this product and discovered to my great surprise that the quantity now listed on Amazon here on this page is 90 capsules. When I first purchased it here on Amazon back in June, the quantity was 180 capsules. This change was made without changing the listing (ASIN) here on Amazon and so when I went to re-order, thinking I would get the exact same thing, I did not think that I needed to scrutinize the listing so carefully. Further, the price for this 90 capsule quantity is in fact higher than what I paid in June for the 180 count! I've sent an e-mail to Amazon complaining about this and will append to this note when they respond to me, but in the meantime I want prospective purchasers to be aware of this. The current size and pricing is not at all competitive. See attached photo for a 'before' and 'after'!My original review follows, unchanged.I take a selection of vitamins and supplements daily. In deciding to incorporate these into my daily routine, and in order to determine as best I can what the proper supplements and dosages are that I should take, I initially relied upon guidance obtained from among other resources. This Green Tea extract supplement is not from any of the books I've read but rather is something I added on my own along the way based upon something else I happened to read and have since forgotten. Initially I purchased this product: , which I purchased directly from Puritan's Pride. This time I ordered this Nutrigold product partly for convenience on Amazon and partly because I have used other Nutrigold products and believe that Nutrigold is a supplement producer that does manufacture high quality products (to the best of my knowledge).Comparing the two products side-by-side I can see that this Nutrigold product is considerably better than the Puritan's Pride product, for several reasons:- it has considerably less caffeine, less than 1% or about 5 mg per capsule maximum. Puritan's Pride contains 40 mg per capsule- the amounts of the key constituents are greater than provided with each Puritan's Pride capsule (both are 500 mg labeled however the individual constituents do differ in quantity):----- Nutrigold ....................... Puritan's Pride----- 500 mg ........................... 500 mg ................ green tea standardized extract (Camellia sinensis, leaf)----- 450 mg ........................... 400 mg ................ polyphenols----- 400 mg ........................... 350 mg ................ catechins----- 250 mg ........................... 175 mg ................ EGCG----- < 1 % .............................. 80 mg .................. caffeineThese capsules are non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free, certified vegan and kosher, and have no corn, egg, milk, peanut, shellfish, flow agents, fillers, binders, artificial ingredients, preservatives, stearate, laureates, sulfates or dioxides.I take this simply for the possible benefits I might receive (claims are that green tea extract will support an enhanced metabolism and weight loss, a healthy immune function, and protection from free radical damage. I'm not aware that free radicals have caused me any damage in the past, but it sounds like a bad thing so I'm glad for the protection). As far as I know there are no real or potential detrimental effects from taking these supplements.I do not claim to be able to detect any significant benefit to myself personally from taking this product nor have I attempted to analyze the benefits I receive from the combination of supplements that I take in order to determine which benefits derive from any of the individual products. My philosophy is simply to take a combination of supplements based upon recommendations that I trust and seem to be sensible, and then hope that the result is beneficial to my health. My feeling is that this is one of the better choices available on Amazon for a green tea extract. If I do later determine that there is an equivalent, or better, choice available, I'll update this review to provide that information. As a final comment, Nutrigold tends to package their products in a box that is about 3 times as big as necessary for the single bottle it contains, in order (it seems) to provide room for a full sized catalog of their full line of products. It's really a waste of resources both in the box size itself and especially in the catalog (who reads catalogs these days anyway, with everything available on the internet?). One thing about providing the catalog, however - it states pricing for each of their products, and in this case the price given in the Nutrigold catalog for this 180 count size is $14.99. I paid $23.81 from Amazon for it! I object! Next time I order this, I will be more careful regarding pricing, and if it can be purchased directly from Nutrigold for the stated list price, then that is how I will purchase it.

Effective Green Tea Extract in a Pill Form!
I got them after reading about it on labdoor.com because these were the best in the form of pill out there, the better quality than these were powder form and i didnt really wanted to taste a powdered green tea when i know i hate the taste of it and hence i wanted something i could just take. The taste - basically, tasteless as it is a pill, all you need to do i swallow it and thats it.The package - OK, so heres the best part, I love the effort that they've put into packaging the stuff, i love it! I got 2 bottles in a neat carton with their other product material inside, and I was amazed to see it being so neat and such high quality packaging. Love it. For me presentation also counts. The effectiveness - Im still using the first bottle, I love the fact that this is decaffeinated so i dont need to worry about my caffeine intake when im on this pill. I dont use the pill to lose weight but to get a healthy dose of green tea extract due to its benefits. I wish if they could make a time release formula where i didnt needed to take 2 pills in a day. But the effectiveness is by far really good, its neat energy and doesnt give you jitters or upset stomach.Overall, the bottle, packaging and the effectiveness is good, i think i will stick to this brand for now and will probably order my next dose after im done with the current one :)

Using to fight Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Finding a trusted ...
Using to fight Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. Finding a trusted supplement and one that is actually high in the cancer fighting chemical EGCG -as per Mayo Clinic clinical trial - has been the quandry. One brand despite a label with 300 mg per capsule was actually 15 mg of EGCG... meanwhile the therapeutic dose used in the trial was 2000 mg EGCG 2x per day. Probably was getting the same amount of EGCG in my Arizona Iced Tea as the capsule.Nutrigold was listed as 1 of 3 (of 25) green tea extracts tested by Labdoor that was proven to be safe and effective with accurate labeling. The other 2 were powders. So now I know I'm getting something safe and am getting about 250mg per capsule and when taken twice a day and when this supplement is supplemented by a few glasses of green tea, I'm now, at least, in the therapeutic range I read in one scientific article of 300mg to 1000mg of EGCG. Nowhere near the 4 grams given to patients in the Mayo Clinic trial but a dosage I feel limits risk to the liver while still may be helping with it's anti-neoplastic, apoptotic properties4 stars instead of 5 because: 1) I wish it was even higher in EGCG and 2) at times it has caused nausea when I take it first thing in the morning

Green tea is good for you ~ Take these and live past 100
The medical experts say that green tea is good for you, so I figured why not, I'll try it. I guess it's all about the Catecin content. Catechins are powerful antioxidants that protect cells from damage. Green Tea Extract - Green Tea GOLD contains an enormous amount of Catechins, Polyphenols, and EGCG. The combination supports the cardiovascular system, promotes healthy weight, and slows down the aging process.I can't make any claims that this product has changed my life, or that I feel any difference after taking it. I feel the same as I've always felt. My sole reason for taking it, is because the ingredients are known to be good for you. That's good enough for me. Also, I like the design of the bottle that the capsules come in. As an added bonus, anyone who takes these capsules will live past 100, and will retain all of their faculties as well as maintain perfect health. Who knows, you might live forever. The bottom line is that this is a quality product. It has the highest percentage of those ingredients that are known to promote a healthy body. Combined with a healthy diet, I have no doubt that my money was well invested on this good for you product. See you in the 22nd century.

I don't really have an opinion
I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not but I don't mind taking them. I have no side effects even though I am sensitive to caffeine. There is very little caffeine and the these pills
