This clock is a satisfactory quality for the price. It arrived with a couple of very small scratches on the hands, but otherwise is in excellent condition. The hands are the dark brown and dark gray colors shown in some of the seller’s photos, not the bright orange and light gray shown in others. I had to mess around with it for awhile to get the hands aimed correctly. I finally waited till 12 o’clock and pinched the hour and minute hands firmly together in the 12 o’clock position. It has since kept reasonably close time (within a minute, give or take) with the digital clock near it on the stove, and I t’s easy to read from across the room. It’s very quiet, but it is not absolutely silent. If the room is quiet and you stand very close to the clock, you can hear a very fast ticking noise. I would hear it if it were in my bedroom, but it took me several days to become aware of it in the kitchen at night. The hanging hardware is secure and easy to use, but it does not allow the clock to hang flush against the wall as shown in the seller’s photos. On the other hand, because it isn’t flush to the wall, I was able to put vinyl bumpers (the same thickness as the hanging hardware) on the back of the clock to hold it straight and keep it from moving. All in all, it’s a great clock.
