Very Solidly Built!!!
I ordered this sword with the intent of sparring with my younger brother who had already purchased a Cold Steel Gladius trainer and have yet to be disappointed with the quality and strength of the sword. Firstly this sword is much larger than expected which, while not a bad thing, means that it swings much slower and harder than a short sword style trainer, encouraging the user to change tactics when sparring with someone using a short sword or axe. The sword is large enough to be used with one hand on the grip and another on the pommel or can be used, albeit with less control, with single hand, a method that works marginally better in conjunction with a shield. Secondly this sword is built out of what can only be described as a plastic like iron and is solid throughout including the detachable hand stop.. It will leave small cuts if it strikes a relatively sharp edge (Metal shield edge) and when smashing a cinder block the edge tends to get a bit roughed up, however I would hardly call that "Common use". Lastly the weight of these swords is a bit heavier than any wood or plastic training swords I have sparred with. Unfortunately both swords are not balanced with the point of balance a good 6 in. from the hilt.Be warned the tip is actually sharp enough to do some real damage but is fairly easy to dull.In shortPros:Built like a rockGood weight for a trainerModeled off of classic Arming Sword and works well for strength trainingCons:UnbalancedPoint is sharp enough to actually hurt someoneIf you are looking for a solidly built sword for sparring or for strength training you would be hard pressed to find a better sword!SargeSon

Awesome sword
I purchased this sword for some fun swordplay with my kids, and let me tell you, it's been an absolute hit!The first thing that struck me was the realistic feel and size of the sword. My kids were over the moon when they held it for the first time – they couldn't believe how authentic it felt. Despite its initial plastic appearance, this sword is incredibly sturdy and durable. I was pleasantly surprised by its robust construction; it's practically unbreakable!Having gone through numerous wood and plastic swords in the past, I was concerned about durability. However, this sword has surpassed all expectations. It's been through countless play sessions and still looks as good as new.Safety is always a top priority, so we use a hay dummy for practice rather than engaging in direct combat. This ensures that the kids can have fun without any risk of injury. Not only has this sword provided endless entertainment for my kids, but now they all want one of their own! It's great to see them having so much fun while staying safe.Overall, I highly recommend this sword for anyone looking for a durable, realistic, and safe option for swordplay with kids. It's a purchase that's brought us hours of joy and excitement, and I'm sure it will continue to do so for years to come.

Excellent quality
I totally love this practice sword. I have the real thing as well and it’s comparable in most aspects. However, the real thing is a little bit lighter and has better tip control. However the heavier weight helps to build muscle so that the real thing feels even lighter. It’s extremely durable, solid and well built and I would definitely buy it again, as a matter of fact I think I might buy another one so I can spar with friends. The only thing I don’t like about it is the blade is a little thick in my estimation, but this isn’t a big deal.

Great, if a bit unwieldy
This is a really cool sword. It feels durable and not like cheap plastic. There are plenty of other reviews that say the balance is pretty bad. I was a bit skeptical that the balance being off was that much of a detriment to the speed you can swing it at. A bit bummed to say, those points were correct. It's feels quite top heavy, so I can't swing this around at the lightning speed (or at least decent speed that doesn't look too telegraphed lol) I was expecting. It definitely feels like you should be two-handing this (which you could by using the pommel), but at that point; I would probably opt for the Cold Steel hand-and-a-half sword since that has a longer grip. This just doesn't feel like a one-handed sword even though that's what the grip is long enough for. I especially recommend a two handed variant if you've got bad wrists. If you're looking for something that feels light enough to swing that doesn't feel like somewhat of a bludgeon, this probably isn't for you.If you want something that's more akin to a light strength workout while swinging a sword, it's quite good.P.s. If your having trouble getting the rubber ring on nearing the cross guard like i was, just have the sword laying angled with the pommel facing you while you sit down, and keep pushing. It's doable, I promise. Lol :)

Perfect, no complaints
It's solid, it feels good in the hand, and is great for building forearm muscles and grip strength. It also looks pretty nice and has a feeling of quality to it that is hard to describe.

Love it
Absolutely love this as an exercise tool. It would make a great toy as well, but it’s chunky and heavy so it could easily hurt someone if you weren’t careful.

Great Item
Swords are heavier than real ones which makes it perfect for training! Edges are nice and round and the tip is slightly sharp. Item assembly is easy, just push the cross guard down and secure with the rubber grommet. You will need padding and armor if you don’t want to get hurt as these are heavy duty.Item is perfect for what I need!
