I use these for all sorts of purposes but I bought them for something a bit out of the ordinary... As these are designed, for bundling cables and wires and etc. they work amazing. I originally purchased them because I wanted a way to secure bike tires when loading them on a bike rack for a camping trip. I attach 2 of these together, bind all the tires together, and wrap it to a bike frame to prevent the tires from spinning rapidly as we drive. When I got to the camp site in Maine, I found yet another use for these... I had a string of camp lights to hang up and dress the camp site up for the kids... the campground took down all the nails that had been up for years so I was like "Dang, what am I going to do now?" A few hours later it hit me, velcro strips! I used these to attach the camp lights, which hung there for a week, and they held and worked perfectly. The straps, through rain and sun beating on them for a week were no worse for the wear, and were available for reuse. I definitely recommend them as a handy and functional product.

I love these things. I use them on all of my corded appliances/tools. The 8 inch version of these is perfect for everyday items, but these 15 inch straps are great for the appliances/tools that have a longer and heavier cord, such as my McCulloch steam system with 18-foot cord. I find that used twice a week, these things last for over a year - well worth it. For those items that get less use, I've had them going strong for three years. They come on a two individual rolls - one black and one black/gray. One end has a slot that allows the strap to pass through itself so that you can attach it to your cord/cable/tubing. I've shortened these for smaller jobs, and use the cut-off tip as a template to shape the cut-off end. Because the hook material is on one side and the loop material is on the other, they are reversible. Pros: - Good value at about $0.23 per strap - Can be used black-side up or gray-side up

I keep these around in drawers and in the garage -- I am constantly findings uses for them. They are sturdy and just work great!

I Use these on every single cable I own. It's so nice buying something with an attached cable and being able to coiled and police the thing with these. my wife uses them on here curling irons, for her Dremel tools, and I use them for all of my corded hand tools. Well worth the money to not be wrestling cables.

These Velcro ties are essential for organizing cluttered cables of any kind. If you don't need the 15 inch length ties, grab the lower priced Velcro Reusable Self-Gripping Cable Ties, 0.5 Inches x 8 Inches Long, Black, 100 Ties per Pack (91140) pack of 8 inch ties. The shorter ties are excellent for home or office cables and wires. These 15 inch long ties are great for garage organization. I use them for organizing my growing collection of ratcheting tie downs, extension cords, hoses and more. They are perfect for larger bundles of kit where the short version is just not enough. For the price this product cannot be beat. The ties are high quality and are easily reusable. Sure you can get thicker and stronger ties, but they will cost at least 20x as much as these ties, and are generally difficult to find in large packs of 50 - 100 like these velcro ties.

Wanted extra long ties and these are it !

I've purchased the shorter version of these ties in the past and found them to be very useful. They hold your wiring together in tight bundles while at the same time not squeezing any individual cables too hard or damaging any insulation like some of those nylon cable ties can. The 8 inch version usually provides enough length but sometimes a tie needs to be a little longer to properly hold the cables. These ties should be perfect to take care of those times. I recommend them to anyone who installs consumer electronics such as home theater systems or computer systems as well as anyone who installs and/or maintains commercial electronics systems of just about any type. They should be great for surveillance system installation and maintenance.

This is my second set of Velcro straps like this that I buy, the first being the 100-pack of 8 1/2 inch long ones. I've had that set for about 5 years and about 25 of them left. I bought this longer set so I could 1) have a paler colour than black to use and 2) have a longer length to wrap around my girlfriend's standing desk to do cable management. I absolutely love these things, in all sizes. They are super versatile, can be strapped to each other to make longer lengths, and are plenty strong enough if you're trying to do cable management. The only time I've ever had an issue with them "snapping" was when I tried to use the little strap to torque and overtighten a bundle of cables and I broke the little loop at the end, and that only happened because I was very clearly pulling *against* that little strip of Velcro fabric loop. So what I'm saying, that was *my fault* not the straps. So yeah, basically a perfect little item that I would highly recommend in any shape, size or form so long as you're using it right. I have them all over the house, holding cables of all shapes and sizes, the odd bundle of pens, wire or workout straps, and even acting as some supports for temporary lighting I use in the spring on veggie seedlings.
