IRWIN Quick-Grip Woodworking Clamps Set, 8-Piece (IRHT83220)

Great value for money, Very well made I have left mine out in the rain at times and had wood glue over the rails to test the build of this product and know matter what they don't let you down.

Bought the set thinking Irwin was a reasonable quality brand, maybe they have a good PR department..... Anyway, I've had these clamps for 2 weeks, used twice to hold 2 sheets of half inch ply together, I've not dropped, knocked or scratched them in any way but they are already rusting. I was gluing ply, so they haven't got wet in any way either. I've got 10.year old £7.99 a pair clamps with less rust on them. And the plastic parts feel really thin and flimsy on the quick clamps. Gave it 2 stars as the spring clamps are really good, shame about the rest.

Amazing!!! The four bar clamps large are SO easy to use, I have extremely weak hands (and they are very small too), so really hard to use clamps but these bar clamps are amazing. And I can release them with one hand too (which is surprising seeming I can not open jars or even hot water bottles). The 2" Resin spring clamps: I cant even open these, not even a little! So I'll never use them. The 2" Handy clamps seem pretty good but I haven't used them as yet. Very happy with purchase. Update after using them for many months: I have used the bar clamps much more than I thought I would and I don't know how I did any work without them. I am currently looking to purchase more 6" and 12" and remind one with a separator (as the medium duty 12 inch does). I recommend them for anyone who does odd jobs around the house, however I wouldn't buy this pack (if I could go back in time) I would buy the bar clamps only as I have not used the others at all.

The Irwin Quick Grip Clamps work great. I was able to buy them on sale at their lowest price in over 6 months. I highly recommend them.

I have owned multiple different types and brands of quick grip type clamps over the years and although the Irwin brand is a little more expensive than some it is by far the best and worth the extra money. The clamps work smoothly, grip or release with one hand and take a beating (I am sure i may have overstressed a few, but no breakage). I have used cheaper brands only to have them break mid project, or slip and relieve pressure when needed, or worse yet jam up and cause damage to the project getting them off.
