Believe me, buy this one
I bought a salt and pepper grinder set last year from another brand, they were nice and useful but had one major flaw: corrosion. They worked fine until I had to take them apart for cleaning.Let me explain: there's a metal post that houses the ceramic grinder head, at the end of the post you screw a plastic knob that it's also used to adjust the coarseness of the grain, the problem is that the metal corrodes (specially with the salt) and it jams up the plastic knob to the point of not being able to move it, I forced with a wrench and the knob broke. I said well a defective one it happens, I bought a wooden mill for the pepper and used the remaining one for the salt, fast forward a few weeks and the same thing happened, I tried to be extra careful this time but there was no possible way to unscrew the plastic knob without breaking it. That's when I realized this was a flaw in design, not an isolated case issue.I decided to give it a go at another set of grinders since I had a bag of Himalayan salt and some peppercorns left. After looking for several hours I was dismayed to find that 99% of the grinders in Amazon use the same mechanism and materials, therefore having the same design flaw... Until I found this set. The difference is that the grinder piece AND the knob are both ceramic, so it withstands applied force much better than flimsy plastic.I took one of the grinders apart, gave it a good wash, left it drying overnight and the next day I filled it with salt. First I used it to make fine grains and then coarser, when adjusting the knob again to fine again I noticed there was little resistance, not like the other set which almost felt it was going to break.I used it for a good 4 weeks before giving it the real test: washing it, taking it apart and reassembling it again. Opening it was a breeze, no problems at all, for the wash I used a toothbrush to remove all debris, left it dry overnight again, and the next day refilled it and it was working as new.Bottom line: this item not only works wonderfully, it will keep working for a long time. If I had to mention something negative, I wish it had a top lid to prevent dust setting in but not a deal breaker, specially since it's so easy to clean.

"These"
I chose these after I ordered the tall kind. Here's the problem with the tall kind: they have this horrible warpish metal rod that extends from top to bottom, which quickly begins to manifest corrosion as well. I thought, "No... I'd better not make that mistake again..." And so I got wiser, canceled those beautiul, tall, regrets-in waiting, and found THESE ceramic-milled, glass bottled, wood-capped stubby things. They are wonderful. And I didn't regret my first mllings like I would have if I were milling with the tall, rod-warping, joy-stealing mechanical anomalies which would have fortold their own quick discomposition from the very first uses. These are quality; a smarter, much more robust milling mechanism than those "tall things" that look great but grieve you from your first use of them.Should anyone wonder, my stature is above average...(Update: Feb 15, 2020)The precision grinds with these things are fantastic. I love my powdered salt and fine-ground black pepper, with the flexibility to make slight adjustments.I had a minor issue which caused me half a star in distress, but I found out the issue is self correcting, so "all good". When you desire to return from a fine grind back to a coarser grind, sometimes the adjustment knob might not make its characteristic "clicks", and you find that the adjusment knob can unscrew off. However don't be sad; just make your adjustments as if it did click. The adjustment knob retightens to clicking after you grind again b/c the force pushes the free mill back against the adjustment knob. I would by these again in a heartbeat over anything else I saw on Amazon after 20-30 minutess of searching.

Just what I wanted
First set I received had a huge crack all the way down the wooden part of shaker, but return/exchange was easy and received second set the next day. Very pretty, sturdy and grinds perfectly.

Durability?
The mechanism for grinding salt failed in 5 months. Pepper grinder is still functioning well. Pink Himalayan salt crystals were / are used.

Just what I was looking for, forever
How hard is it to find adjustable, glass, top vs. bottom, right-sized grinders? Apparently really hard. I looked for far too long. Not only were these what I wanted but they also don’t have an obnoxious logo or “designer” name printed on them. Basic, simple, reasonably priced.

Don't keep it anywhere near your stove.
It's my fault cause I had them on my stove stone and when I turned the over on the heat was enough to melt the plastic inside and made these entirely unusable. So, keep that in mind. They were nice enough, but not nice enough to buy twice.
