Some times use it a few times a day and still batteries not run out yet. I would recommend getting good quality batteries. I couldn't get the swing working on day 1. Had brand new batteries, level surface, assembled correctly but wouldn't swing. Day 2 I'd put baby in to manually rock and it started working at random. Theres a black rectangle on the bottom. The base of the seat needs to be swinging past this rectangle to get the auto swing to work!
