I did a 5 mile hike today with these snowshoes and they were great. Easy to put on and they stayed on, didn't loosen up. They are pretty light. I have never used any other modern snowshoe so I can't compare, but for me they were all I needed and they did what they were supposed to do. I am going to buy another pair for my wife.

on my very first use the plastic heel clip broke. I was able to rig up a temporary fix and continue my hike but had to stop periodically and often to re-tighten the bindings. annoying experience

I am pleased with this pair of snowshoes. I was looking for something that was lightweight but still good quality. The frame is strong and the bindings are made of a very sturdy plastic with metal spikes on the bottom. I live at the base of the mountains and I was wanting these to get to some good areas to get drone footage. The snow level isn't extremely deep right now, but I will be prepared when it comes!

the straps work great but I sunk, I weigh 105 so why? found out walking heal-toe, rocking motion worked. Glad to have them in late season snow.

I purchased these for emergency use in winter a word of warning when I tried to insert the PLASTIC straps for the first time the plastic strap was very stiff and didn't follow the path into the locking side correctly. It took me almost an hour to find a way to pull the strap out from the locking side as the strap was caught between the two parts of the locking mechanism. You might not understand what I am saying until you realize you've done the same thing. With the older style leather straps you had a better and easier locking mechanism. I also didn't like the fact that with this rigid rubber/plastic strap I found that the rigid nature of the strap wouldn't allow me to get my foot tight into both straps. The only reason my shoes stayed in the mechanism was the strap at the rear kept me from slipping out. As for walking in the snow YES they simply keep you from sinking deeper. I purchased them for reducing my efforts to get to photograph people sledding in the snow and for emergency use if I get trapped on a highway in a storm.

These snowshoes are exactly what I was looking for. I am 6' 00" 205lbs and I normally carry 10-20lbs of gear. They were very comfortable to wear and didn't pinch my toes. Putting the snowshoes on is very easy with this type of bindings and the heel bar is great for hills. Very happy with these and excited to use them this winter season.

Bought as a Christmas gift. Person receiving them has not used them yet but likes them very much They are really well made and the case they come in is a real bonus!

It snowed at my house, so I figured it was time to try these out and check the fit before a real snowshoeing trip. Right away I struggled with the binding locking up and not being able to get my shoe out. These have extremely cheap made bindings, and one of the four ratchets just doesn't work. I'm glad I didn't get beyond my own yard. Returning these, as they are not usable.

Price reflects product quality. Ratchet straps were not strong enough to hold on winter boots and the snow shoes came off.
