Q: How durable are these when rock scrambing? I fear they would tear easily..

Sadly no rock laden hillsides in Hampshire, so can’t comment specifically on that durability. However, mine have dealt with gravel trails, ankle deep mud and the snagging hazards encountered with running through undergrowth, so far absolutely no damage to the outer mesh to report. The durability is much improved from the Speedcross 2, my previous shoes.

Q: How long does it take to break in?

These trail running shoes are very soft and I found them good to go, straight from the box. No need to break in.
