So far works great, UPDATE still works but Faceplate is completely rusted.
UPDATE May 2024:Still overall happy with the light, has not dimmed, yellowed, or leaked. While I don't use it every day, I do use it several times a week. I have it plugged in to a smart outlet that will shut it off after three hours if I forget to; I did this for electricity's sake, not for longevity of the light but if that helps than so be it.My major concern is that the 'stainless steel' faceplate has entirely rusted and frankly is now ugly. (See second pic) while I understand this is a value oriented product, it is not cheap at $250 and should at least use proper stainless steel.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Just installed so far works great. Looks great very happy with quality, appearance, and price. Time will tell how it lasts.Any pool light is somewhat complicated to install definitely watch a youtube tutorial before even ordering. This light runs on 12V DC, most pool lights run on 12V AC, it comes with the transformer so that’s fine but you will have to remove or bypass your existing AC transformer.I got the white light which does not come with a remote so I couldn’t rate that.

Failed after a little more than a year
I purchased the light in April 2022 and was very pleased with it. The light had very good brightness and lit the pool up nicely. Now a little more than a year later it leaked water and has failed. Not exactly sure what happened but the inside of the light turned brown (like other pictures on here) and the light no longer works. Based on the short life and cost, I would not recommend buying this light.

Very bright, OK after 3 months of use
I replaced an old but working Pentair 120V 300W incandescent light. It was easy to remove the old, cut the cord, tape the end of the new cord to the old cord, and pull the wire through the conduit. Then just mount light on pool bracket. NOTE: Mine did not include the screw necessary to mount the light. I had to order one from Amazon. The supplied water proof transformer was also easy. Plugged that into a water resistant plug near where my light J-Box was. Just be aware this is DC, so get the polarity correct.I would estimate the light is about 1.5X brighter than my old one. So about equivalent of a 500W incandescent. The color is more white and striking, so that may also make me think it is brighter. But it really makes the pool stand out. Almost too bright? Not sure. Looks great though.Next to see is how long the brightness lasts. Several people have reported it dims over time. I will report back if I notice any dimming. One thing to be very careful of is to NEVER turn on the light unless it is under water. The bulb depends on water for cooling. You will end up burning it out or making it dimmer after even 10 minutes of use without water. OK to do a quick test, but no more.

.installed October 2021 and working great
The lights are awesome.. brilliant light going through the pool. Had a few failures on these lights but James, manufacturers and myself really made a great effort to correct the problems and they achieved good success in producing a great pool light. We've had them running for about 3 months now and are working perfectly..Many people have complimented on the beauty of the pool in the evening in comparison to the 500 watt incandescent lighting we had prior. 35 watts is a great energy saver and even better as we have two in our pool.. thanks again for a great seller for a product sold on Amazon....just another follow up.. still working great installed in October of 2021..its almost October of 2022 and the lights are as brilliant as they were installed a year ago.. Thanks again to the company working with me in resolving old issues.. can't say enough about the product and the company..so happy in Hawaii..Just checking back in for the pool lights installed in 2021... just still working great with no issues.. really appreciate the tech support a number of years back that worked with me on previous issues.. James and company went way above normal replies to actually correcting previously known faults. So amazed and happy to note that all turned out well.. savings are great and product is providing us a great feature in our pool..update.. October 22, 2024... lights are still working great without issues.. super happy after working with James in 2021 to figure out some negative issues but continued to work with him to improve the product and couldn't be happier.. Thanks for a great company and product..and service..Tony

Not as bright as when I first got it after 1 week.
So this was super easy to install and it even comes with an extra watertight connection which I thought was awesome. The light was super bright for about the first two weeks. Like so bright my whole pool area was lit up. I was so excited to have found a light that didn’t to break the bank and was so bright. But after a week I noticed it wasn’t as bright which was a little depressing. I thought maybe I’ve just been over using it because we keep it on all night so I gave it a break for about a week and turned it back on and it was still dim. Overall though it still is enough light for swimming at nigh I’m just a little unhappy it didn’t stay as bright as when I first got it.

Excellent replacement for a 10 inch Pentair 300W pool light
Needed to replace a 300W Pentair 10 inch pool light that ran at 120V AC with a safer 12V DC system. The HQUA PN01 proved to be an exact replacement that fit the pool niche perfectly and with it's stainless steel bezel looks identical to the Pentair at a far more reasonable price. It comes with it's own weatherproof 12V DC transformer (a lot of 12V pool lights don't) and was pretty straightforward to install--takes some effort but no problems. I was especially pleased to see the 300W equivalent claim was no exaggeration; it illuminates the pool just as well as the original. Also that 100 feet of cable coming standard with this model is significantly more than other systems. While I didn't need it all, anyone with a long cable run will appreciate having it. After a month of use I'm very pleased with how it turned out, would buy it again and would recommend it to anyone wanting a safer, 12V DC system for their pool.
