works well
works great used to do a Morse taper. Cuts as it should easy to change inserts. Inserts work good as well. Used only with cutting oil on manual lathe. Will definitely be trying them out on our turret lathe with coolant at some point.

Good quality boring bar
Good quality, heavy boring bar. Bought this to build a large fly cutter. (it has to be used in reverse for this application)

The bar is good the inserts are bad
The tool holder works well, clamps well and is pretty solid. The inserts are really cheap and wear quickly, but some high quality inserts. Once I swapped to good inserts the chips started flying.

Mighty bar
It works. Had a starter bore size of 1.755 and had no problems. Even took a .035 feed (280 rpm) rate cut with no problem. I was cutting aluminum 6061. After the 3rd pass, I dialed it Bach to .02. Left a deep .01 chip groove. I was roughing as well and testing it out. But it.

Boring bar
Good for light duty hobbiest taking light cuts. not rigid enough for deeper boring jobs or heavier cuts. fairly decent if you only need to bore about 2.5 3" deep.

She HOGS!
This tool HOGS! I'm completely blown away by this tool, and I'll definitely be looking for replacements for my current tools from this brand. I was incredibly impressed by the fit and finish on the boring bar before I even installed it. It got even better after my first cut into a hardened steel sprocket, it ate a 1mm cut like it wasn't even there. The surface finish it left was nearly polished. I cranked it up to nearly 3mm thick cuts and it didn't even flinch. Highly recommended.
