Teach Yourself VISUALLY iPad 4th Generation and iPad mini 1st Edition

Used it to get to know my I pad

The front cover pages and some of the pages inside were bent. It looked like it was a packing issue. The book was not sealed in wrap or put in the box with bubble wrap.The content inside is excellent and just what I needed to use my iPad 4.

my wife liked it a lot since this is a visual as well as a written user guide. my wife has always been very visually oriented and this book has good color pictures and is well organized and set up.

Tremendously helpful. Covers all the apps, both well known and the less well known. The method of taking each app one step at a time, with step numbers illustrated with a picture along side of the instructions makes it a breeze. Very helpful in eliminating the need to "try everything" blindly. Best investment to avoid having to troubleshoot problems. Get one! George Little, Maine

Pictures of the screen with a number for each step really helped me when I was unsure what the directions were telling me to do.

This information is good on this, but... this is a visual learning book. when I try to zoom in with my Ipad 4 the picture is fuzzy and unreadable.. This is a disappointment. I have purchased this format before in book form.. Oh well ... still good info.

I didn't reaize there were so many options on the iPad.Can't possibly learn them all, and not sure which ones to choose.I'm a novice at this so it's going to take some time to learn.Basically the book itself is well done.......just that it's "Big".

I learn by doing and seeing the diagrams helped a lot. It shows you exactly what you will see when doing something on the IPad. It might not be the best way for everyone but for me it is the most helpful way.

I'm at an age where I feel still wary of new technology however I started reading this series of teach yourself visually and haven't looked back.330 pages of techi stuff but easily absorbed because of their presentation.it is step by step with visuals of the screen so you really can't go wrong.Topics are broken down in small chunks which can be learnt on their own so it makes for a good reference book too

It is a helpful book,I'm a bit of a Luddite so this is my first ever tablet and I don't own a computer so I bought this because I thought I would need all the help I could get,but the ipad is really straightforward and for most things I really didn't need it but it has helped when things have gone wrong and it gives you the confidence to sort problems out so you know it's not something you're doing but usually my BT connection

If you are as computer illiterate as me then you will probably find this book as useful as I did. It was in good condition for second hand, would not have paid the full price for it though despite it being well laid out, clear and easy to follow. Recommend.

Of all the computer guides I have read, this one is in a different class, It is even printed on good paper.
