Project 2010 for Dummies is well worth it.
I have used each of the Project books and they are all great for quickly getting to it.. I am a consultant in PM and I have recommnded the Dummies books to all of my clients ( in addition to some of the comprehensive), especially the beginners and intermediate. It is a bargain at the cost. For in depth I use Dynamic Scheduling with MS Proj 2010.

A Less-Technical Way to Learn MS Project
While there are several ways to learn Project 2010, for my money, this is the easiest way to get started. If you're a confirmed "techie," this may not be for you. But if your computer skills fall into the average range, you'll be able to use several of the applications faster than you might imagine.

Just what I needed
This book is well written and easy to understand. The last time I used Project was many years ago, before Microsoft completely revamped the user interface. So I was looking for a quick way to get up to speed on the 2010 version and this book was the ticket. After reading just a few chapters, I got the gist of it and have been able to create a project plan that I can continue to update in just a day.

Should have bought the Book.
The content is on target and well writtten, but the illustrations, examples and tables are all poorly scanned and remain blurry when enlarged. This is disapointing as the text refers to details in the figures that are not discernable in the kindle version.

This is a great tool! I was new to this program and could not have navigated without it. Love the "dummies" books!

fairly helpful
a good reference for newbies. I'd combine it with another book - I'm using the unwritten ms project manual, or something of the like. there's also some good tutorials online through your local public library - just ask.

funny!
What I love about this series of texts is the humorous way they are written. Not dry and sleepy like most texts and manuals. Keeps you interested and it's easy to understand...yay!
