Blender nirvana
Yes, pricey. But here’s why - it has programmed settings for common uses such as smoothies, which is my main use. That is more than just turning the blade - it starts slow, lets things settle, then picks up speed to create that perfect consistency. Powerful enough to break down frozen fruit without overheating like some specialty smoothie blenders (who shall remain nameless). It also benefits from a worm gear mechanism that gives you variable control of the speed like a professional bar blender. Sturdy, solid, somewhat quieter, looks good, and remarkably easy to clean. Best of all - the jar does not have a removable bottom that leaks when the gasket dries out. I think with all the features, the high price is completely justified, especially if you use your blender daily like I do.

Nice as my first luxury blender
My 16 yr. old Kitchenaid's blender jar has started to look/act it's age. Online pricing for a replacement jar was between $100-$150, so I agonized about whether I should spend the extra $$$ and upgrade, especially since I've seen places selling the Wolf Blender(s) for $700. In the end, I was willing to take the chance, because of the price difference found here on Amazon. I am glad I chose this model, as it holds more than the Kitchenaid, fits easily under the cabinets (minus the tamper), is much quieter (until you get to speed #s 5-10, where it starts sounding like my Kitchenaid), and it's motor has 2.4 hp vs. my .5 hp Kitchenaid. My first test has been the noise level and blending of a basic Joy of Cooking recipe for vichyssoise; I couldn't believe how much faster this blender pulsed the soup into submission. Also, I didn't have to thin out the soup with extra liquid, like I do with the Kitchenaid. It made a noticeable (for the better) difference in taste/texture to my husband. This bodes well for future soups and dip making experiments. It's curious as to the how/why consumers choose between the Wolf blender models 100S and 200S. This High Performance 100S costs $30 more, is the earlier introduced model (2015 vs. 2019), has the timer window, and is .4 hp more powerful than the 200S Pro model. It's nice that it comes with a 5 yr. warranty, but I'm really hoping it'll last at least as long as my Kitchenaid, which base is also die cast metal construction. Oh, and I really like the button and dial design on the Wolf; my old Kitchenaid has touch membrane buttons, which initially kept gunk from getting inside the machine. But over time, the lettering wears off on the buttons, and they start to crack.

Quiet and professional blender
I bought this blender because it is quieter than most but much cheaper than the blenders that are advertised for being quiet. It works well, is quieter than usual, and is easier to clean than others. Although I think this blender is geared for chefs rather than those who mainly use it for drinks. Would recommend.

Strong Beast….but elegant.
Well built. Very strong motor. Mixes very well. A-lot of speed/power options. Looks good on the counter. Cleans easily. Wife is happy with it, ergo I am happy with it.

Great blender so far!
We use this blender twice daily for making 6 smoothies. So far we are really impressed with the quality of this machine. It is a little louder than I expected, but it doesn’t wake anyone up at 4:30 am. Lol I would definitely recommend giving it a go. I would buy it again!

Feels and Sounds and Produces Quality Smoothies, PLUS, quietest
I had a Ninja (the ones that also cook) for two years before the motor broke -- used every single day for smoothies. When the motor broke, I bought another, exactly same model for about $250 -- immediately starting getting error codes that prevented blending -- since I'm a smoothie addict, I added another blender to my arsenal -- this Wolf blender that someone had returned so it was half price. And started putting it through the daily grind of smoothies for three people, once or twice a day. The first thing I noticed was it was quieter -- 50% quieter I'd say than other blenders. It starts (on the smoothie setting) on low, then goes into high action -- I felt the power of the thing -- like an airplane taking off -- the motor just sounds competent and powerful. It looks simple, big knob, easy to navigate. And it looks elegant. I now use the Wolf alongside the Ninja (there is a way to work around the Ninja's error codes) --- the Smoothies are well blended, and great, occasionally a little chunky from the frozen fruit but I just run it on super low for a minute and this goes away -- Time will Tell how long this Wolf lasts... I will update.

Great blender, terrible vendor customer service
Love love love the consistency and quiet of this blender! Bad bad bad customer service. I’ve been trying for three weeks to contact wolf on the provided 800 number. The call is answered and then clicks to dead air. For weeks! Simply, the lid is very snug and I wanted tips on removing it. The smoothie function sometimes leaves lumps - easily softened with the suggested 20 seconds on blend as suggested on the website but I wanted to confirm that was normal. Nada. Nothing

It's worth it.
Very happy with the blender. The old blender would wake the entire house up in the morning. The Wolf red knob is quieter, faster and does a better job of blending items. I would recommend this blender.
