Saves batteries and the planet! H4N
Works like a charm. I plug it into my rechargeable power bank and I am good to go! No more stamina mode. Perfecto!

It works but the plug is too long and makes poor connection
Yeah, this cable does work, if you can keep it plugged in. It is too long to snap securely into the Zoom H4N power port, even though it says it is made for it. No fun when you are in the middle of a recording to suddenly lose power - and your track. Probably best to keep looking for a cable that fits correctly.

A Great Accessory For The H4N
I wanted this accessory for those times when there is no A/C power available. Yes, the 2 AA batteries in the H4N will go for quite a while, but if they start getting low, you have to stop what you're doing and change them out. Now, I run the 5V USB power cable from the H4N down to a GoalZero Guide 10 Plus power pack Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus Recharger (nice having the long-enough cable to do so). The Guide 10 has 4 AA batteries and a USB output, so it works fine to power the H4N. Since using external power bypasses the 2 AAs in the H4N, they stay charged. When you need to switch batteries in the Guide 10 power pack, you turn off the power pack and the H4N's internal batteries take over for the minute or so you need to change the 4 AAs in the Guide 10. (Since I use Goal Zero rechargeable batteries and pair the Guide 10 with a solar panel, Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus Solar Recharging Kit with Nomad 7 Plus Solar Panel I'm never short of power in the field.) There are actually quite a number of small external power supplies out there with a USB output, so this cable is the (very reasonably priced) ticket for pairing your external power with the H4N. ** A great accessory. **

works perfectly for what I needed it for.
Bought this to power my Elektron Model: Samples with a portable USB battery, and it works perfectly. I thought it didn't fit at first, despite the size being the same as the power supply that came with the Model: Samples. but it just took a bit of pressure and now it fits perfectly every time. Recommend it to anyone who wants to make their music gear/whatever small 5 volt device with that sort of adapter portable.

Great way to power your Zoom, and never need to change AA batteries again.
I love it! I used to go through four AA batteries when recording a concert at the best quality on my Zoom H4n Pro, as two batteries were drawn down to 1/4 power in an hour or so (I guessed-by the "meter on the Zoom), so at intermission I'd put in the 2nd pair of batteries. I rerally couldn't use that set as "fresh" again, as getting a reliable recording is worth hundreds of dollars to me, compared to the price of 4 batteries. I can't change batteries in the middle of a concert, and lose even 10 seconds of sound. Now, with this cable, I can run the Zoom off of a $5 portable USB battery that's rechargeable, that can power my iPhone as well. Why didn't Zoom think of this?Well, for less than $10, you'll never need AA batteries again for your Zoom.

A must-have accessory for Zoom Recorders
If you have a Zoom H4n, you are probably aware that they eat batteries. I use NiMH rechargeable batteries, but that only saves on purchasing new ones. I have a large Li-Ion battery that I bought for my iPhone. This cable allows me to power the Zoom for many hours without changing batteries. I bought two. This is not a product over which one would get emotional. But I am glad it was available on Amazon.

Works but H4N itself has issues with using a power adapter
The H4N has an issue where there is a loud hiss if you use the 1/4 Jack's to record while using a power adapter. I can't fault this cable I purchased, as far as I understand it's a design flaw with the H4N.Use the built in mic or external mic input (1/8" jack on the back) with this for no hiss recording.

This item saves you from high cost of batteries which ...
This item saves you from high cost of batteries which do not last long when using H4n. The downside you cannot use it where there is no power source. I don't know why They don't make H4n which can be recharged
