Make delicious soup from this. No need special kind, only use house hold items (salt, pepper etc) cabbage, onion, carrot, celery any. and some sausage kind made good diner for me.

This has a better flavor for Asian recipes like soups, adding to fried rice, or stir-fries. I think it might have a slight star anise flavor, which is perfect for how I use it. I still use other chicken bouillon cubes for general chicken flavor but when I want that extra unique flavor I use these. Highly recommend.

I have been using this Japanese seasoning for years. This can be used in any dish such as vegetable soup, tomato soup, etc. and can be made thicker so the food really tastes better. I will continue to use this for years to come!

EXACTLY what I wanted. I wanted a broth that I could just drink when camping, or just when it's really cold. Tried it at home, and it was really good. I imagine that on a hike it will be even better.I figured as much, coming from Ajinomoto. I tend to trust the big name Japanese brands, as they seem to actually care about their products, not just money. (Kikkoman, Ajinomoto, Nissin...)

Since this is a vegetable base, it can be used with any meat dish. When I make soup curry, I use 4 ps of consommé in about 2000 cc of hot water to create a good flavor and aroma. You can easily make it by adding curry powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala powder.

I'm so happy to be able to buy Japanese food on Amazon! This bouillon can be used for almighty, so it's a staple in Japan! It is even better if there is a granule type!
