Pathophysiology Made Incredibly Easy!

It’s a wonderful additional resource to PATHO. It helps simplify the heavy stuff for better understanding. It is not a “stand alone” resource tho. It breaks down Patho for you to understand it more.It also comes with thePoint with is another resource and added bonus with the book. When you buy it brand new, it’ll come with an access code that will enable you the opportunity to practice and master the essential concepts of Patho.Please utilize other resources like the Professors notes, PPTs (for your course / school), YouTube videos (NursingSOS, Nexus Nursing, LevelUpRN, simple nursing are all very amazinggg channels that help you ACE PATHO!), with a course like Patho you will do a LOT OF THINKING! THINKING!! THINKING AND MORE THINKING😄 so it’s best to stay buckled up with good tools that will ease your way into understanding PATHOPHYSIOLOGY.

This is a great book for anyone needing to review for nursing, PA, med school. It is broken up by systems and was easy to read and follow along on a basic level. I like how they give you the major diseases and then tells you the causes and treatments. It would be nice if there was a concise breakdown in flashcard format after each chapter, but I guess that's something for you to do to reinforce the information. There's a nice little quiz at the end of each chapter too to help refresh info. I also wish there was a basic dictionary in the back for certain terms, but looking them up along the way and writing the definitions in the margins probably helps me retain more. I was considering the "visually" version of this book, but although I am a visual person, I think I'd be more distracted by all the cartoons, charts, etc. This book has a nice amount of illustrations and tables to have them stand out, but not muddle the information.

This book was purchased on recommendation by my text book's website, and I have NOT been disappointed!For beginning Pathophysiology, this book is incredibly easy to understand and the visual depictions of processes helps you "see development in progress" in your mind's eye. (This concept is incredibly important when it comes time for exam, because you have NO IDEA what questions will be asked about the processes. With this guide, you understand the process all the way through, so you're prepared to answer ANY questions!)I have purchased my textbook (INCREDIBLY WORDY and COMPLICATED) and flash cards (Great for studying once you understand the diseases you must know, but not much help in this initial learning process) and another Pathophysiology guide suggested by another nursing program...all of which I feel may have been wasted money. The textbook will be useful as a reference...but it's definitely NOT easy reading.This Pathophysiology Made Incredibly Easy is PERFECT for me. I even have the Pathophysiology Made Incredibly Visual, which is another great reference, but overall, this book is my favorite!I hope this review helps you in your purchase decision...and I wish you the best in your studies.

I found this helpful when taking Patho last semester. If I would have spent more time reading through it early on it would have been more beneficial. It is definitely worth having to reference for simplified clarification. Be aware though, it is not comprehensive. There were many topics that were missing from the book. (As one might guess given it's small size compared to a patho text book.) I got an A in patho and all I can say is know causes, manifestations, and the reasons why those are what they are. Know this inside and out and you will be okay. promise you'll make it! :)

I really like this book for an additional resource to a traditional text book. There are a variety of ways to comprehend the topics from drawings, text, to highlighted material. I think it helps solidify the topics in your mind to read through this. For me, it does make understanding these concepts easier. I will be taking advanced patho in grad school this next year, so this will probably not be detailed enough for that class- but I will still use it as a supplement and as a review before I start next semester.

I'm currently taking patho physiology for one of my nursing classes and kept struggling with comprehending the material. I decided to look around at different supplemental materials and I'm so glad I stumbled upon this book. This book has been a godsend for me. It breaks down all the big ideas into simple every day terms and has lots of pictures and diagrams to really help solidify the material. I would recommend it definitely!!!

Another great one to have for paramedic students. Helps a lot with understanding how the body works (and how it doesn’t). I probably used this more than my textbook! Kidding, but kind of not. Definitely worth the buy.

I'm an NP student, and this book helps break down my school's required text for advanced Patho into simpler terms that are easier for me to understand. While it doesn't have every little disorder I need to study, it does have a lot of very valuable information!

I found this book fantastic, I learn best with diagrams and pictures rather than reams and reams of text, this book has it all, simple easy to understand language with accompanying diagrams of conditions that really help the reader to understand the processes going on in the body. This book would be great for a refresher, revision as well as giving a basic overview of pathophysiolgy. As a student paramedic I used this book and found it great for simple explanations of terms and providing me with a good base knowledge.

Doesn't go as into as much detail as I need, but great for understanding concepts.

very good for student nurses and anybody studying for a pathophysiology exam, has every thing needed to know. it was easy to read and make sense of the information, does not go into too much detail so as not to understand but has more detail than a-level studying (degree level). information is broken down and manageable.
