Nice tool, but not perfect
If I could have gone with 3.5 stars I would have. I bought this product after a very bad experience with a reconditioned unit, same model. Which I gave a very bad review. This is a good basic nail gun and I generally like it. That said, it does have some issues, mostly things that others have noted:- It has trouble driving nails into harder material. All nail guns do to some extent, but this one is just not as good as the air nailers, including a Bostitch that I've used. Note that I am using 3.5" ring shank nails. I haven't tried smooth nails in this nailer yet.- As at least one other person has noted, the tool does not always fire. Not clear why. It's a little annoying right now, but not too bad. It fires on the first attempt roughly 75% of the time and almost always on the second attempt. Since this was my main problem with the reconditioned nailer I had I worry that this tool may get worse with age. No evidence of this changing yet though.- The tool is a little heavier than I expected.On the good side, I really like it for steel roof work. No cords or hoses to drag around. Makes the work nailing perlins much quicker and easier than using a pneumatic gun or nailing by hand. When driving into pine lumber it drives the nails very well. So far I've not had a jam in the gun.

Cordless nailer comments
Bostitch copied most of the Paslode features including misfiring. There's nothing more fustrating than have your work lined up and then have the gun not fire a nail. Also, it only comes with one battery, and nowhere to get another one. What do I do while I'm waiting for the battery to charge? I bought it only because I own a regular Bostitch nailer and wanted a cordless unit that took the same nails.

Not worth the wait.
I purchased the cordless nailer to compliment my air nailer on a house I am building. I thought it would be convient, and give me an extra nailer when I had help. Unfortunately it wasn't worth the wait it took to receive my order. The nailer arrived in 5 business days, but the fuel cells took 9 business days. I used the nailer for 1-1/2 days before it started to misfire on a frequent basis. I had more misfires on this nailer in 1/2 a day than I've had in 22 years of using air nailers. I expected more from Bostich, I have 7 other Bostich air nailers that I would I highly reccomend, but not the cordless model for serious users.

Excellent Product
Really nice tool to work with used it for the first time this week end. The framing nailer performed beyond my expectations with one flaw and that is it has a tendency to miss fire which can slow you down a bit but over all I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

cordless nail gun
Good tool for doing punchlist work. Takes some getting used to when it recycles.This is not a replacement tool for my compressor and hose operated gun as it is slower to recycle.

I have not been able to use it can't find the correct fuel, after buying two different kinds. It's just sitting there not being used.

Love this tool
What a great time saver. This is one of the all-time best tools I ever brought. The gas cylinder lasted for over 2,500 shots. Never gave me a problem.
