StayPut Adhesive Patch Beige- No Hole 30 Pack

I have a Medtronic CGM. Stay out works great to cover up.

Great patch but rated it a 4 star only because, if it were truly waterproof (made out of a more plastic material) it wouldn’t fray. My sensors are made to work for 7 days and these covers start to grey after 3 or 4 days. Just like that cloth band aid you put on your thumb that starts to get bad after a few hand washings. It’s good but can be better.

The last time I bought this patch to cover my glucose sensor the adhesive was very tough it lasted more than a week if need be and I never had to worry about my sensor getting wet. Now I bought two packs of these and every single one that I’ve use so far the adhesive doesn’t even last one week I know for a fact that my sensor is getting wet it’s just disappointing considering this patch is easier to put on and remove than the ones supplied by the doctors

These seem to be an old batch of patches. The paper backing is difficult to remove. It sticks to the adhesive and comes off in little bits. Otherwise these patches do what they’re intended to do, which is keep a medical device in place on the skin.

I was told by CGM sensor mfg that I would only need one piece of this tape per week. I’ve gone through 9 pieces as the tape is not sticky enough to stay stuck to the skin. I’ve had to remove my sensor prematurely due trying to remove StayPut caused sensor to come out.

I've tried both the StayPut and the Fixic patches on my Minimed. The sensor HAS to come off in 7 days, so I'm only comparing a 7 day span. The StayPut definitely sticks better than the Fixic on my skin, and the edges don't roll back as badly as the Fixic did. In addition, it's slightly larger, and slightly easier to apply. When pool season rolls around I will probably switch be using this one because it looks neater after several days of wear.I only gave 4 stars because it is almost twice as expensive than the Fixic, for only a small improvement in quality.

Husband was put on the insulin pump and a blood glucose monitor. We use these adhesive pads to cover the monitor so it stays put on his arm and is water resistant for showering.
