Nutella Hazelnut Spread 200g
L**F
Expensive Nutella from Ireland in small glass jar about 3/4 full.
I thouht this product would be similar to the Italian version, but sadly it wasn't. This Nutella was just ok in terms of taste, very similar in taste and ingredients to the American version of nutella. If you really want the true italian version of Nutella, this is not it. The ingredients in this jar were ok but they were not non-GMO and it did have Palm Oil and Vanillin in it, just like the American version . This version of Nutella is made in Cork , Kinsale ireland and the jar I was sent was only about 3/4 full so not a great value for the money spent, however the small glass jar will probably make a nice cup to use after I'm done with the Nutella . Also the jar I was sent had a cap which justs pulls on and off and does not twist securely like ones on the the plastic jars , so thats why it will likely only just be used as a drinking cup when I finish the Nutella in the jar. Lets hope the seller can research and find a better version of this product to offer in the future, but in all honesty the pandemic has greatly affected product availability and authentic Italian products from Italy are hard to come by sometimes so I guess it's better to have this version than none at all.

A Rip Off
Despite the claims that this European version tastes superior to what is available in the U.S., not only was there no difference in taste, but the ingredients listed were the same as in the American product. The only difference is that this product lists vegetable oil as a fat whereas the American product specifies the type of vegetable oil used, e.g., palm oil, which the health conscious try to avoid. The European product could well contain palm oil without the consumer being aware of it Also, the European product does not indicate whether the oil is hydrogenated or whether trans fats are present. Since Nutella is now widely available in the U.S., paying more than three or four times the price for what I suspect is the identical product is just a waste of money.

WAY better than american
If you don't like Nutella try the European one. My wife and I both disliked Nutella and when she was pregnant she wanted one at the checkout of a walmart. We eat GMO free and read on the back that its made in Germany and Italy (Europe has a ban on GMOs) and it tasted completely differently. It infact is fantastic.

Pricey
Small jar at a high price. Definitely tastes better than the US version though. More hazelnut flavor. Cool glass jar.

No difference to the domestic!
There is hardly any difference to the domestic Nutella. If there is a difference it's so small you can hardly taste it. Not worth paying more for, that's for sure.

i ordered this item several weeks ago and just received it in a padded mailer. i was sent 2 small plastic jars of the nutella. i specifically ordered the glass jars as they are very hard to find. 'bonus nutella cake recipe not included'

Italian is much better, says Supertaster
I have tested out as a "super-super taster." Yes, there is a huge difference between the Italian Nutella and the American one. But I think most people cannot tell the difference because they are not supertasters like me? The Italian version is much smoother and much more hazulnutty, not the brash smack in the face of sugar and salt that is the American version. If you can't tell the difference, good for you! because you can buy Nutella anywhere and for cheap, and enjoy it. But for ME, I have to find merchants who import it in order to enjoy the good, smooth, Italian Nutella that actually tastes like hazelnuts. And many merchants, like the one currently listing it here for $16 (WHAT?!?!), take full aadvantage of that by price gouging us.
