Church from Age to Age: A History from Galilee to Global Christianity

Great Read and Helpful History
The Church from Age to Age is a great summary history of the church from Pentecost until the 21st century. It is a big book but with a helpful font to read in and so it doesn't seem as long. Because it covers so much, it must necessarily summarize rather than fully relate. As a result, I felt that I learned a lot in a little bit of time. Special attention is given to Luther and other theologians and individuals who cast a big shadow over Christian church history. They devote some space to the Eastern tradition which was pretty unknown to me, but was a generous appreciation of achievements made in that often forgotten strand of Christian life and doctrine. The political and social circumstances are given ample space as well, so one feels that he or she is reading a human history and not just a church history devoid of context.

Fantastic book! This book truly does contain church history ...
Fantastic book! This book truly does contain church history from every age. In addition, this book held my attention as I read about the church history in every age. It is a very large book and I have only read a portion, but it is by far my favorite church history book purchased for my college course.

It has given a great overview of biblical history
Had to buy this book for my church history book. It has given a great overview of biblical history. It is easy to read but also very theologically and historically enriching. I’ve enjoyed using this book to learn about history from.

Great book!
I bought this book for my Church History II class in Seminary and I've only read a couple chapters but it has a lot of great information and is very readable. It is a very thick book and heavy to hold for extended reading and I wish it was hardcover because it is very flimsy. Other than that, it was a great price, great quality, very happy.

Great source
I always wondered about the history of the Christian church after the New Testament. This volume is ver comprehensive, and perhaps has more detail than I was looking for, but it is a fascinating church history book.
