Only thing that keeps the squirrels away
Even using for years. The only thing that keeps squirrels away. I tried the Walmart red pepper bird feed and that didn’t work against the squirrels. Also lasts a long time since just meat and no shells. More expensive since Covid, but still worth the money and I’m frugal! My birds all love it! All varieties of birds!

TheHot Seeds Work
No more Rocko the squirrels or Ralph the rats! It took a solid week for birds to come back because we stopped feeding until we bought this food. A squirrel tried it and didn't come back for a day. Then when it did it stayed back tempted but didn't eat. They visit but don't eat! Birds are back and we've been feeding for several weeks. Ralph visited one night, but hasn't been back 😄 These hot seeds work, Thank You!

Keeps the squirrels away
This stuff is the best and totally worth the investment. I use it on my BirdBuddy feeder and the squirrels finally leave it alone, saving me a ton on food. The birds love it.

The finches love this food. I have been getting about 40 small birds at a time.
Birds love this and the Squirrels hate it. They smell the seed and leave the feeder alone. I do feed the Squirrels though, they have their own critter blend.

Don't buy this seed!
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I have a bird feeder with a camera and with normal bird seed I'd have high activity with 20 visits per day. My only problem with normal seed is the squirrels would get into the feeder too. So I bought this seed. Complete flop! No one likes the seed! The squirrels have been on the feeder and don't eat it and the birds completely stopped coming to the feeder!

Works for me!!
WORKS!! I have 7 various types of feeders, four are tube feeders. Not unusual to look out and see five or six squirrels in my back yard. Always one or two on the feeders eating away. My feeders were empty yesterday so I filled them with Coles. WOW! Squirrels would get up on the feeders and then get off. They definitely do not like that seed! Nice to look out and see the birds eating and not the squirrels. Kind of expensive but worth it. Seed now goes to the birds plus no more damaged feeders by the squirrels! Just bought another bag. Really works, for me at least!

Keeps the squirrels out though it's pricey
You will receive three reviews in one today! REVIEW FROM HUMAN: Visually it looks to be good quality, and the packaging is fine. This was more effective as a squirrel deterrent than mixing cayenne pepper into cheaper food. Minus 1 star only due to price. BIRD REVIEW: Pretty tasty but not as much variety as our prior fruit and seeds blend. But the squirrels have avoided it, allowing us to eat in peace. SQUIRREL REVIEW: This is awful!!! It tastes horrible. How can those stupid birds eat this stuff??? Just smelling it makes me run away. Bring back the other feed and peanuts!!!!

Birds love it!
A friend suggested I try hot sunflower seeds due to rodent issues. I really didn’t want to get rid of my feeders. So I gave them a try! The hot sunflower seeds are a hit!! While the feeder still gets a ton of traffic, the seeds seem to be lasting longer. I filled a feeder few days ago with the new seeds and normally it would be almost empty by now. The birds were tossing out a lot of the filler seeds onto the grounds to get to the good stuff, so even though I bought shelled seeds, there was still a lot of waste. They are eating every last seed now. I can’t say if I the rodents would still eat the seeds since I they now really don’t have a chance to get any of the seeds. I have noticed the squirrels, Chipmunks (and unfortunately the occasional Norway rat 😣) aren’t hanging under the feeder like they were.
