Henry And Mudge First Book

Love the story line. Easy enough for 2nd grade. Illustrations are good to keep attention while reading.

I consider this a classic. Children are asking me to read this book over and over. Genuinely touches on emotions, connection and love.I’m using with my first graders. Perfect.

It was a gift that hit the person right in the feels so thank you it was perfect

When our daughter, who is an only child, brought this book home from school, we had no idea it would change our lives. It's a sweet story, and just a fun read. But as we read through the story, we looked around. No brother. No sister. No children on our block or anywhere us in our neighborhood. No pets. Instant guilt trip created by the author. Due to this book, our daughter won the ongoing argument about getting a dog. Note: This book did not inspire my daughter to go so far as to pick up after her dog. However, we're glad she read it, and she's a had a dog ever since.

Easy to read Chapter Book that was entertaining. Perfect for my 2nd grader!

Henry and Mudge: The First Book We loved Henry and Mudge right from the start. Mudge is not a talking or human like dog. He is all dog. Henry's loving parents feel sad that Henry doesn't have kids to play with or a pet and they give in and get him a tiny puppy, who grows and grows into a very large slobbering dog. In this first book, Mudge gets lost. Henry is inconsolable. My boy was very upset and crying about Henry and Mudge being separated. Frankly I was pretty upset about it myself. But when Henry instinctively follows Mudges trail and hollers one last time we were relieved that Mudge was nearby and came running. We see the grief and loss from both Henry and Mudge's perspective. When my dog got lost I wondered what he might be feeling, now I know.These stories are so warm and touching. We can feel the love in this family.They are great boy books, but girls will enjoy them too.

Great book for our 5 year old.... and we have a giant dog too so he could really identify with it. He says it made him sad though (even though there was a happy ending) so it's not one he's wanting to read over and over. Never the less.... I think it's great that he was able to connect with the characters and have a emotional experience with a book.

My baby thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was an awesome way to help him learn order of events when reading. I think I may like this series... :)

Me la pide otra vez y otra vez.Es un cuento muy bonito sobre un niño que no tiene con quien jugar y sus padres le dejan elegir un perro. Hay un momento emocionante cuando el perro se pierde y el niño va a buscarle y luego se encuentran. Mi peque esta impresionado con esta parte.El texto es facil, pero muy atractivo y tansmite muy bien las emociones.Recomiendo mucho este libro para los niños que ya quieren un poco mas de historia que pueden tener los libros de imagenes para los mas pequeños, pero no estan preparados para los libros por capitulos. Se puede leer en voz alta y le gustara. O si el niño empieza a leer, tambien puede ser perfecto.Nosotros lo compramos en ingles, pero he visto que tambien esta traducido al castellano. Muy bueno libro. Hemos comprado unos cuantos mas de la serie.

兄弟も近所の友だちもいないHenryに両親が与えてくれたペットMudge。Henryの希望どおり、垂れ耳、直毛、大型犬（来た当初は仔犬だったけれど…）のMudgeとHenryは大の仲良し。どこへ行くにもいつも一緒です。そんなある日、Mudgeがふと一人で散歩に出掛けます。最初は自由にあちこちを走り回れて良かったのですが、ふと気付いたら自分がどこにいるのか分かりません。Henryと一緒に寝るベッドを思い出しながら、ひとり哀しく伏せるMudge。ちょうどその頃、HenryもいなくなったMudgeを思って涙ぐんでいます。Mudgeを探しに松林に来たHenry。彼の最後の叫びを聞きつけ駆けつけるMudge。動物好きな人にはちょっとした感動シーンなんじゃないでしょうか。-----------言うまでも無いことですが、これ「Mr Puter」シリーズや「The Old Woman Who Named Things」と同じ著者の作品です。上記シリーズ＆絵本と同様、このお話も穏やかな中に心温まる物がありわたしは気に入ってます。英語もとっても簡単。子供が読んでも良いですが、わたしとしては英語を勉強し始めたばかりの大人にこそ読んでもらいたいです。（この著者の感性は、大人が読んだほうがより深く味わえると思うので…）(YL: 0.9-1.2)(814 words)

O retorno sobre o investimento do produto parece ser bom, visto que é um produto de fora, com ótimo preço e a história parece ser interessante, porém... Veio amassado, parece produto usado quando se olha a capa. A foto aparece um pouco. Mas acho que ainda valeu sim, a compra.É um livro razoavelmente fácil para ler para bons leitores de inglês. Se fosse em português, eu diria que serviria para o primeiro ano do fundamental.
