A Thoughtful Gift for Book Lovers
I haven’t had the chance to read Before the Coffee Gets Cold myself, but I heard great things about it from others, so I decided to gift it to my partner. She really liked it and said it’s a touching and beautifully written story. It made for a thoughtful gift, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something meaningful for a book lover. Plus, it arrived in perfect condition, with no damage at all!

A fun read
Cleverly written to draw one in! If given the chance, would we go back if nothing could change the present? What about if it could change the future???

heartfelt
There are so many things about our lives that we wish we knew or we wish we could go back and redo or understand better. so much of the things that happened to us in our life are not the result of our own actions, but of extenuating circumstances of which we don’t fully understand, and I feel the chair in the café, gives us a glimpse into into that world, we think people are mad at us or that we have let others down, but if we’re able to see the other side of it sometimes that’s not the case. sometimes we’re oblivious to the crosses that we carry or why we carry them. There’s so many times you want us to have another cup of coffee with someone that you love or to go back and understand what they meant but we don’t always have that chance and I love the whimsical take on this. No, we can’t change the future. No, we can’t change the past, but we can’t understand it more from a place of empathy and compassion and we can choose how we spend our time now.

Interesting and engaging story helping you cope with the past without changing the present. I guess it is something we all wish we could do. Worth while reading it.

Okay story
I’m an avid reader. My preference is the classics.Dickens, the Brontë sisters, Ambrose Bierce, etc.I’ve read them all. Some several times. That being said I continually try to find a modern author who will capture my interest for more than one book. This book was readable. The story line involves being able to visit the past in a coffee shop for only the time it takes for a cup of coffee to get cold. The time traveler can not get up from the chair they sit in. Several different stories all based on this concept. The author has written many books about this coffee shop and its special feature. I won’t be reading those. Once on this particular style of writing was enough. Not that it was bad but just not my style. If you are looking for an easy read you might enjoy this.

Don't Read This Where You Don't Want People Seeing You Cry
Every single short story is a tear jerker. Only read this if you're ready to have your heartstrings pulled hard.

felt unfinished
I don't know. The stories were difficult but mostly enlightening. Without spoilers i can just say i felt there were stories left unfinished. I just saw there are more books in this "series". Perhaps i will check them out later.

This is a short read. It starts off slow but has a touching lesson. I will definitely be recommending this book to others.
