Lands' EndMen's Calf Length Turkish Cotton Terry Bathrobe

Plush and Warm
First, I notice in 99% of other reviews for this robe that no mention is made of sizing. So let me start by saying that while the reference to my order may indicate an Extra Large, I was shipped a LARGE (42-44 chest), which turned out to be PERFECT. I am 6' 1", 190 lbs, 38 inch waist, average build. The LARGE size has very generous left-to-right cross over (overlap) fabric at the waist and fits perfectly in the shoulders. The weight does give the false impression/illusion of it being slightly larger than the size indicates. The length, while not truly 'calf length, is about 3-4 inches below the knees, so technically it is between knee and back-of-the-calf in terms of length, which I personally prefer. The overall feel is that of a very absorbant and luxurious spa robe. One thing to note is that this robe is probably best for the colder months and may be a bit heavy for the warmer weather months. My solution was to separately purchase a lighter weight robe for the summer months. Overall this is a fantastic robe and purchasing it put an end to a one year long search for something of genuine quality and comfort.

Soft, absorbent, comfortable.
I didn't want to spend this much for a robe, BUT, I am glad I did! This is a nice thick fabric. To get a great bathrobe, get a men's robe. Women's robes are made of toilet tissue and cobwebs.

Excellent quality
Bought this bathrobe for my boyfriend and he absolutely loves it. It is heavyweight, warm, and of excellent quality. The Turkish Terry is decently soft to the touch, absorbent from the shower, and did fine when I washed it (follow instructions). I used the Lands End fit guide to determine size which is perfect. For the record it is nothing like the cheap fleece robes at my local stores. Online is the only place I could find Turkish Terry which is top of the line, and Lands End makes high quality clothes at affordable prices so this was a no brainer. Just remember it is winterweight. Nothing flimsy or light about it. Very happy with this purchase. š

Exactly what you expect from a luxury robe
There is nothing to dislike, this robe is exactly as described. This is a super thick, very absorbent robe. At first I thought the high price tag was ridiculous, but then it arrived and I realized your getting exactly what you paid for. After washing the robe became super soft, this is the type of robe you would expect to find at a high end hotel or a cruise ship, or expensive luxury spa. Iām 5ā9ā weigh about 210lbs and the large size fits me as expected to the middle of my calves. There is also plenty of room in the waist.

If you want to look like Spock from Star Trek IV this is for you
Whoever designed the sleeves on this robe must have just finished watching Start Trek IV and was inspired by Spock's robe. No human being could possibly have arms long enough for the absurd sleeve length. I had to double roll the sleeves after which they were too bulky and heavy.Do yourself a favor and pass on this unless you're buying it for your pet gorilla.

Generously sized, thick and absorbent!
Thick, heavy, very absorbent, sized generously. Iām 6ā5ā, 300 lbs and it wraps just right. The sleeves are long enough for my 38ā sleeve length, and I love the cushy collar. Perfect for my nightly tub time soaks!

Heavy, thick and very roomy
Years ago I went on a cruise and got a complimentary white robe. It was big, thick, heavy, absorbent, and plush. I finally lost it to years of bleaching in the wash. I have been trying to find one just like it and ordering online is so hit or miss. So I ordered two different robes on the same day. One arrived stuffed in 5x12 box and this one arrived in a big box...I knew right away which one I was keeping. This feels like an expensive towel when you wrap in around you. It will actually absorb water and not just push it around on your skin. But who actually uses their robe when they are wet? I probably could have ordered a size down but I like the extra room. I am female 5'9" 150 but wanted a big robe. I still could have ordered a medium. Hubby is 5'11" 200 and he had it on this morning with plenty of room to warp it around him. Now I have to buy another one for myself because that one will constantly smell of chili farts and cologne. He never wants a robe of his own but always takes mine. I can't have anything nice. I should have showed him the one I didn't like.
