"Community" in a World that desparetly needs it!
"Life in Community" gives us a picture of the kind of church that each of our home churches needs to be today. This book is based on the scriptures yet provides illustrations and application for a Christ filled community that can easily be seen and felt right at home. It takes the call of the Great Commission and connects it with the simpleness of everyday community that we all live in. A community that is not what we want, desire, or for our good but for the good of others. This book reminds us of the global mission of God and relates it to the local bodies of Christ (churches) throughout our communities. This book is a "must" read for Churches, Small Groups, Men's Bible Studies, Women's Bible studies, Youth Groups or any group seeking to carry out the "Great Commission" right where they live. What a greater legacy to leave than an eternal impact in our homes and right where you live each day? Thank you to the author for allowing God to speak through you and deliver this simple gospel message! #LifeinCommunity

Honesty Fuels Community
Dustin hits a home run with Life in Community. Without catch phrases like "doing life together" that are overly used in Christian circles, Dustin presents for the reader a clear call for community within the context of mission.Life in Community lays a compelling foundation for the theological reasons why the Christian life without community is an enemy to the gospel while consistently showing practical ways to live in community. The greatest contribution to the church has to be Chapter 5: No Masks Allowed. In this chapter, Dustin urges the reader to the value of coming clean in community. He shows how the gospel frees us to actually live in community not a theater of performers. He writes. "The depth believers experience with one another is linked directly to their level of honesty."This is a must read for every pastor, small group leader or ministry leader. In fact, the body of Christ needs to read this book.

An awesome study for our Small Group!
Our new(ish) small group began using this book for our 2nd study (about 11 months into our first year of gathering) and I think we all wish we had started with it. It says it can be done on 6 weeks, but after trying to discuss 2 chapters/ meeting, we opted to just do one chapter/meeting because we all had so much to discuss! I would recommend this book for all small groups and church plants, because it helped us bond and see more clearly how Jesus intends for us to live in community.

Amazingly profound and yet simple!
It's not complicated! We are a communal people by God's design and we all desire community. When community is lived out according to God's design it brings fulfillment and life has a purpose. Life in Community shows how to do that bringing focus on living with a purpose according to biblical patterns. A highly recommended read for you and your small group or life group. Buy a dozen or a case and lead your group in discussing this book. It will change your perspective on intentional living. Amazing resource!

Community in a culture of isolation
This book is great in several ways, but most notably it effortlessly ties together theory and application in regards to living our lives together for the glory of God. Rather than complain about the state of culture, Willis actually shows Christians how to do something about it by living together in gospel-centered communities. If just a small percentage of the Church lived this way, the state of American Christianity would be drastically different. I pray that this book makes its way into small groups all over the country. It could very well be a game changer.

Not what I expected
After reading a previous joint effort by this author I was expecting the same approach, however, I was kind of bored with the text. Not what I expected
