LIFXLZTV1MUS Z-TV LED Light Strip, Multicolor

I struggled to initially get these lights connected to my wifi. The LIFX name would pop up under "Set Up New Device" under my wifi but then wouldnt connect overall.I did the troubleshoot from the website provided in the package, but ultimately had to call LIFX support to get them fully connected. LIFX support were SO helpful and literally walked me through step by step until they confirmed my lights were connected and working. Something to keep in mind for others connecting for the first time. The Home button on the LIFX app swipes left/right so be sure to check there to complete your set up! I missed it the first, second and third go around.

I’ve tried just about every light strip available, and LIFX is hands down the best available. Not only are the colors much more saturated than all the others, but there’s no need for an external hub to convert to a Zigbee interface. These all have built-in WiFi and integrate well with Apple HomeKit, Samsung SmartThings, Control4, and every other automation ecosystem. One feature I use the most is IFTTT. I do a lot of woodworking in my garage and can’t hear my phone nor the doorbell, but these are setup to turn red whenever I receive a text message, green when someone rings the doorbell, and blue if someone is calling. I’m buying more, just because 😁

What I really dislike about this light is that it works for a short period of time & then half of it stops lighting up. I am on my third replacement unit & each time I have to jump thru hoops to get the item replaced under warranty!! Stay away from LIFX as their quality control has gone down significantly in my opinion. The things the request from you before they will send you a replacement unit are egregious. Take a pic, find your purchase order, submit a pic of the serial # , show a pic of how many leds are not lighting up. It goes on and on - I don’t think it was less than two weeks of emails before they finally submitted & sent me just the strip without the power controller or plug. An extension Tv light as it was listed. I didn’t pay for an extension light so why can’t I get the original product I paid for that failed replaced? I’m moving on to Govee Lights, much better quality & don’t die on me in under 6 months or require constant firmware/ app updates.

The connection between the power source and light strip gradually failed. It’s useless now and just cycles through the colors.

Installation connectivity wasn’t great, I blamed it on my phone at first. Now it’s been several months of one of the lights always having issues and not working on the app.I bought one for the top and bottom of my 75 inch tv. I thought the price would get me great quality and I was wrong.Now, after 2 years of back and forth with LIFX Support they won't fix the issue since its past warranty. A HUGE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

The strip is very short when you compare it to the amount of money

Bought these lights and they would not stick to anything. When I FINALLY got them to stick, they won't stay connected. Sometimes the app can find the lights, sometimes they won't. Sometimes Google home finds the lights and turns them on but then can't find the lights to turn them off.Amazing brightness, terrible follow through. I feel like I wasted my money.

I received a defective product but the lights are fantastic. I will order again.

Llevó desde diciembre usándola. Es una maravilla a diferencia de los focos LIFX. Nunca pierde conexión y los colores son geniales. Aguas con la parte de la tira que conecta a la corriente, es SUMAMENTE FRÁGIL.
