What is a Patka?

Storyline is simple enough to follow and with illustations that make it easy to explains to young kids.

My son has a friend who wears a Patka and was asking me some questions about it so I decided to get this book for us to read. Not only was this book educational, it was also engaging. The pages are full of colorful pictures and large, easy to read writing. There are also some activities at the end of the book including a page to design your own Patka. This is a great children's book that explains what a Patka is and why a kid might be wearing one. Definitely recommend.

My kids really enjoyed reading this book. It was easy to read, has great illustrations and is informative on what a patka is. The author uses simple language that really breaks it down for the kids so it is easy to understand. Truly a delightful book and much needed in our diverse world!

Amazing book to educate kids about Patka and why we wear it. We really liked that it’s simple to read/follow with great pictures. We even bought a second copy to give to his school teacher to educate his class/school staff. 200% recommended. Appreciate the author’s and designer’s efforts.

Purchased this for my 3 year old and he loves it! There's not much out there for young children and teaching them things around the Sikh religion but this book is a really cute little insight into the patka.

I highly recommend this beautiful and engaging book. Not only does it teach about a patka, the text is also authentic in its illustrations. My daughter has read it with me multiple times already.

Really nice idea but felt book was too short and shallow. Doesn't touch on why Sikh kids have long hair and didn't consider that girls wear patke too. Lots about them being different colours and can match your outfits though!
