I am impressed
Bought this to brighten up my silent office after seeing and hearing a rather more expensive device in a colleagues workplace. I do have a couple of "favourite" internet "radio" stations I already listen to so knew what to expect with regard to content.OK.... To the device. This is purely a Web Radio.... There is no DAB or FM/AM.Arrived at the time it was promised. The box contains the "radio", a shortish USB to mini USB cable to power/charge and a remote control - no batteries. I always have plenty of rechargeable AAA batteries on hand so this was not a problem. There is a decent manual which covers set up and use. Have not had to reference the manual too much as the device is pretty simple to use and understand.Essentially the "radio" appears to be a small android tablet in a black box. Within a couple of minutes I had connected it to my wireless network and searched for one of my favourite stations. The first thing I noticed was the rather impressive sound that the speaker provides. If the station provides album art, this is displayed on the little screen with the track name and artist. Navigation with both the remote control and the front button panel is fine. The software uses a site called "SkyTune.Com" for its station list so my initial concern - especially with the history of some other well known audio device manufacturers and their inability to provide an ongoing service, was whether the radio would become defunct if this station list provider ever went silent.... But this initial doubt was put aside when I found out how to connect to the radio using a standard web browser.By using the settings page on the radio you can find out the IP address allocated by your router. Enter this IP address into your browser and a web page appears from the radio showing all your current stored favourite stations. This pages allows you to add, edit and remove stations from the radio. More importantly, it enables you to enter the URL for the station stream directly bypassing the SkyTune settings. Sorry if this is a standard feature of these devices, but having not had one before, it made me a little happier that the station list can be built up so easy.Battery life after the first change meant I had music in my office for a full 8 hours. Admittedly the volume was quite low and I would expect that the life of the battery could diminish if it was used at full tilt.I now have it also paired with my 4G WIFI hub which means I can take the "radio" anywhere. To conclude.Positives.I like the quality of the soundBattery life is pretty good as compared with running internet radio on a standard tablet.Ease of use. Especially with the ability to maintain the preset list using another tablet or PC.Negatives.Without taking the back off (6 screws), I do not know whether the Lithium battery is replaceable. What next?.... Ocean Digital have just released a two speaker/stereo version of the device. May just have to add it to my upcoming birthday prezzy list.Update May 2020.Sorry to be late to the party on this one but this device has Also got a Upnp client built in and.. can decode and play FLAC files. I already have a media streamer for my music and this is able to connect and play. Brilliant.

Nice internet radio
The first one I got had an intermittent charging fault so I returned it for a refund and bought a second one. This one after having it for 5 days seems to be working ok. Things I like are the lovely colour screen that details the station and logo. I also like the tone of the radio. It is easy to connect to internet either by the radio or controller. Stations are easy to find and set up either direct by radio or sky tune on your mobile. I have about 60 channels on mine everything from music and chat from America Australia Hawaii New Zealand Canada etc as well as a few BBC local stations in the UK etc. Battery life I am not impressed with as I only seem to get about 4hours although I am always going through different stations and switching it off and on a lot. Maybe if l left it on one station the battery life would be a lot longer. I love setting the timer and dimming the screen at night and go to sleep listening to a good radio station. It is good value for money and is a nice looking radio. It doesn’t have FM or DAB but overall I am delighted with it. The Bluetooth also works great

Great product
I can see that there are mixed reviews but I have had this radio for a year and have found it a joy. I have a big garden and with a WiFi booster can in theory can have internet radio anywhere. I struggled to find an internet radio that was rechargeable until I came across this. Fantastic to be able to do the gardening in the wilds of Scotland and still be able to listen to LBC and all the top US stations (American Talk Radio stations are something else!) The sound is good and the design more traditional (and to me more appealing) than some internet radios. Solid and well made. Internet radios are fiddly to set up, I think there is no way round that, as you set the thing up on your home broadband. Also, the navigation to find the stations is also a faff, but that is the nature of the beast. Once you presets are set though you are away and it is then as straightforward to use as any DAB radio. Holds its charge well, and easy to re-charge with USB cable.

Great little device with nothing unnecessary
Got this to use in bedroom, didnt have high hopes but i was wrong. I love this little thing. Now have every station i wanted, and who knew there was a gregorian radio station. No techy snob value, it is low profile, simple to use entertainment and sounds good (its not a disco though people). Will go nicely in the caravan too.
