I wore it daily as I worked my land. It took a licking and just broke after almost 8 years. Before this other watches would only last a year. I'm back to buy another Expedition. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED **Q: Good first watch for a teenager? For a present will it fit small wrists?** A: Check the band, most Expeditions have holes nearly all around, & so should fit even a slim-wristed teen just fine. You can trim off the excess for now, & get a new band if you outgrow this. **Q: How do you change the date? There doesn't appear to be a middle setting and going around a 24 hour cycle doesn't do it either.** A: You have to go forward with the time setting, 24 hours for each day. Is bigger than in the pictures but sits nicely on the wrist. Strap is robust and once worn a few times is comfy, colour is great and really sticks out, the watch would take any NATO G10 strap which makes it easy to change the look. The face is nice and clear and very easy to read, the backlight makes night time viewing very clear to. The watch is well finished, has an easily readable face with a small date window at the 3 o'clock position which has a 'quick change' facility. The Indiglo feature is really excellent, lighting up the whole face with a subdued glow which does not interfere with night vision. The webbing strap is of good quality and is initially very stiff but will soften with wear. To top it all off it comes with a 2 year Timex guarantee, what's not to like?
