Beautiful and Functional
I love this tea kettle! I received this in the red color as a Christmas present last year and liked it so much I ended up ordering the blue color as a gift for my brother. I drink a couple cups of tea a day and my family will often use it for making hot chocolate or pour-over cups of coffee - so it often gets filled a few times a day. The 2-quart size is just big enough you can heat water for a group or a single cup without taking up an enormous amount of room on your stove top. The whistle is nice and loud, easily heard on any floor of my house which is a nice feature. The inside is also enameled which makes it very easy to clean and avoid rust, and the fact that you can remove the entire top (unlike my last kettle) makes it not only easy to clean but easy to fill as well. I've been using it for almost 7 months now and haven't experienced any rusting, discoloration or chipping of the enamel, dripping, or faulty mechanisms. Only thing I would add is a set of markings on the inside so you can measure the water while you fill the kettle - but that would just be a bonus. It's so pretty and functional you just can't go wrong!

Very nice quality for the price
Very nice quality for the price! I bought this for my mother as she gave me her old one. I'm someone who looks at 1000 reviews before I buy something and the reviews always scare me against some products, but this one is perfect! I don't have any complaints. It feels heavy duty and nothing about it feels cheap, it's a cute and perfect size, and the color is nice!

The handle is too short, that is, it ...
The handle is too short, that is, it does not curve far enough to the back. (In other earlier versions the handle originated in the back and curved forward, which was better). The consequence is that, when the kettle is full) it is difficult/awkward to pour from and it tends to dribble as you pour. Also, the handle definitely heats up (my stove burner use gas), enough so that you need to use a pot-holder. The kettle does its job (boils water) but it it is so awkward and inconvenient that I intend to buy a replacement.

Total garbage.
I hate this teakettle. Everything about it is bad except the appearance. It looks nice, but the quality of the metal is very sketchy (mine has rust after a mere month). Worse, the whistle works only "sometimes" and even when it works it is not loud at all. I actually just this minute ruined the kettle completely (and almost started a fire) because I never heard the almost non-existent whistle and the kettle quickly ran out of water and burned out.As other reviewers have stated, the handle gets VERY hot, much too hot to touch with a gas range. I always had to use a pot holder to pour. That brings us to possibly the most annoying part of this product: it doesn't even pour cleanly. It dribbles and drips spitting water all over the place, and water runs down the side of the kettle. I rarely make a drink without spilling (boiling) water on the floor or the counter. This is a terrible product. Terrible. Thrown with disgust onto the trash heap of history.PS: Actually recycled but that doesn't sound as dramatic.

Nice Teapot.
It looks great and is holding up well. There is no problem at all with the handle getting too hot as some have mentioned. The issues I have are caused by the attractive design: It is somewhat awkward to pour all the liquid out because the spout is so short----it creates a wrist bending position to try and empty it, it can also be a bit of a challenge to get water into the pot as there is not much room between the handle and the top.Overall we have been happy with it.

Beautiful Tea Kettle with a Couple of Glitches
I purchased this tea kettle for its generous size, attractive design (shape and ergonomics), and reasonable price, which are its primary good points. Also, upon first usage, I immediately discovered that the at-the-boil warning whistle is remarkably loud, loud enough to hear from quite a distance, a feature that I continue to appreciate. For me, though, while I intend to keep using this product, there two downsides to this product: the bottom third of my shiny red enamel tea kettle was slightly discolored (darkened somewhat) right away (on a gas stove), in addition to which, whenever one allows water to reach a full boil, the handle tends to become a little too hot to handle comfortable.

I love the one-handed spout opening feature
This, my friends, is my first teakettle. And it will quite possibly be the only type of teakettle I ever want to own. I love the one-handed spout opening feature, and the size (I can get quite a few cups out of each fill). The color is awesome as well. The only thing I am critical about (which almost all kettles happen to do) is that it tends to spit hot water out of the spout as I'm pouring the last bit out of the kettle - sometimes getting steaming hot water on the counter, the floor, and every so often my foot (ouch!). So I've learned to just wear slippers when I enjoy my tea. :)

Great RED teakettle!
Rachael Ray does it again! I love this teakettle. I was boiling water in a sauce pan and kept forgetting about it. This teakettle is beautiful, functional, and has a gentle whistle to remind me when the water is ready. Great price, too.
