No going back
This sleeping pad has ruined me for all other sleeping pads. I have tried sooooo many over the years and never been able to find the perfect one that is genuinely comfortable. Some are comfortable but too narrow so my legs or arms hang down from the sides. This is very comfortable to sleep on your back or your side (I am a side sleeper or tummy sleeper). Despite its weight I even carry this when hiking and wild camping, the good sleep is worth it. Also the insulation is phenomenal, I sleep directly on top of the pad and unzip my sleeping bag to use it as a quilt. I am so warm and comfortable! ** Now I have had a chance to use it through winter, I can say with absolute certainty that this is only a 3 season pad. Warm and very comfortable down to about 5°c, I tried it at 0°c (using a comfort -7°c sleeping bag and a thick foil insulation pad under the pad) and I could feel the cold on my hips and my back. It was awful and l got no sleep. I will keep it as a 3 season pad and I will have to invest in the Thermarest xtherm for winter.

Fantastic service from klymit sellers.
I found a faulty valve. I notified the sellers and they sent me two valves. Many thanks and the kklymit air mattress is very warm and the width is proper suitable for me.cracking kit.

Good 3 season mat
Wasn’t sure if this had extra insulation or not but as I will be using it mainly not in winter, decided to go for it. Haven’t tried it outdoors yet due to travel restrictions. Inflated easily with small battery pump (flex tail gear tiny pump) just a few breaths to top up pressure. It is comfortable and you don’t touch the ground even with a “COVID waistline”. The extra width is good to stay on if you tend to roll over. I’m not convinced the sides are a barrier to rolling off, but the extra width helps a lot. Picture of the label on the stuff sack attached as it states the R value. Given likely usage and the comfort vs weight I kept it but the language regarding insulated for inflatable mats is not entirely clear. Every mat of any design is “insulated” in that they provide insulation. It would be clearer and of benefit to all customers if all descriptions clearly stated the R value and only advertise “insulated” if there is insulation material eg heat reflective layer over and above having air pockets. The rotating air valve seems to work well and holds air if seated correctly. Overall a very comfortable sleeping mat even for larger campers sleeping on their side. Would recommend for warmer months . I would describe this as a mid range mat, which fits the price point, it is much thicker and more comfortable than cheaters mats but not insulated in the way that more expensive mats are. If I plan on camping in winter I would probably get a higher R value mat or double this up with other insulation

Comfortable and packs down small.
Bought this because I wanted a wider mattress than usual. Very comfortable, inflates easily, and it did appear to offer reasonable heat insulation during a cold and wet camping trip to the Scottish Highlands. It packs down fairly small, which is great when space is at a premium. Cons?... Like all mattresses made of a similar material, it can be a little on the noisy side. The inflation nozzle is non-standard, meaning that many pumps won't fit.

Deflation deflate deflated
Mattress deflates. It deflated through the valve which is defective. It has no punctures or leaks elsewhere so it's clearly and faulty design and manufacture problem. Not much else to say other than an inflatable mattress that deflated is not fit for purpose and Klymit shouldn't be selling them as they are.

Nice piece of kit for people a bit larger or more mobile in their sleep
Nice piece of kit for people a bit larger or more mobile in their sleep. I tend to roll around a bit and find I always have a leg hanging off the end of a narrower sleep pad, but this one does a better job of 'containing me'.

Great Sleep - Spoilt by its valve
Had this Klymit Insulated Static V Luxe since May 2021 and giving up on it because on too many occasions it has lost pressure after several hours. I have to re-inflate usually in the early hours because the cold hard fllor of my tent wakes me up. I find this such a shame because otherwise it is a well made, quiet, spacious and very comfortable sleeping mat. First and foremost it has to be reliable, mine is not.

Great for anyone above average in size
This has made a massive difference to the standard of my nights sleep on camping trips. I had a cheaper/smaller pad and I would say the Klymit probably packs away smaller than my old one and is huge when inflated. Even if you are not the biggest of people but you maybe move around a lot when sleeping, then this is also great. I use this with a big Agnes echo sleeping bag and you can attach the sheet on the back of the bag straight over the pad and it keeps everything together as one.
