Works well but makes quite a bit of noise
I ordered this for my dad.He had trouble getting it to run consistently at first until he changed the electrical cord. I think this runs on a higher voltage, which I remembered reading in one of the other reviews before making the purchase, but he didn’t go into details.Once he got it working, the only complaint I heard from him was that it’s quite loud and he wished these came with two more wheels. Other than that, it’s been working fine.Price point is good on this unit. It’s not the least expensive one, but I’ve seen some that go into thousands, so this is somewhere on the lower end of mid range in terms of price. He was shopping around for a while before asking me to order this for him and have it shipped to his friend’s place so there was someone to sign for it during the day.Something to note, this item requires a signature when delivered, unlike 99% of my other amazon purchases that are usually left outside my door.

service
Purchased this 7.5 hp AC 35wc48 stand up air compressor. single phase, for a Toyota dealership, it has been out of service 4 months out of the 10 owned, the overloads had not been sized right this I am told will void the warranty if I up size them, I had to go to the motor manufacture to get approval. We then ran aprox 3 months and had the main copper line snap due to excess vibration. Again warranty, We now have a cylinder head leaking rings are bad, blow by on the pump. The replacement pump has been on order for 5 weeks and still waiting. DO NOT BY SPEEDAIRE NOT WHAT THEY USE TO BE, WARRENTY IS HORRABLE. Mike Gatt. Gatt Elec Inc, Grants Pass Toyota

Its broken down 3 times
In the last 6 months since I purchased this for a client it has broken down twice, first the shaft on the compressor was cracked then the motor burned out and now the noise level of the pump is extremely loud. This compressor runs about every ten minutes during the day so it runs alot. The last smaller compressor we had went for 20 years before it finally gave out.

compressor
I have owned this air compressor for 25 years and use it regularly. It has two voltages and i reccomend running it on 220v since the motor will start faster and run better. I would have given it 5 stars but there is a safety hazard where the copper pipe that the air flows from the pump to the tank gets super hot. So hot that if the rubber air hose happens to lay upon this pipe it will catch fire. This happened to me as one night i left the compressor switch on and it burned part of my garage before a neighbor woke me up and we got the fire out. The good news was that the fire damage was estimated very hight to repair and we used the money to pay off the house. The compressor suffered a melted belt cage and broken belt but still worked after feplacing the belt. Since then i have increased the safety pressure release valve pressue so it blows at a higher pressure in case i forget to switch it off again there will be less chance of it running all night. All in all a real good compressor that will last several years.
