Ebook is the best way to go
Excellent series of books and fundamental to understanding this seemingly black art. Take your S4 to S6 or get your sought-after DX. As an engineer and Extra-class op I recommend you also experiment with modeling software like EZNEC or MMANA-GAL.IMHO, ARRL should embrace the 21st century and make e-books their primary modality - including on-line extras. Why carry crates of books when they all fit in one tablet?

Definitive Reference
If you want a clear explanation of the theory behind radio antennae, I can't think of a better text. Make sure to get the four-volume set

E books can be great
I have this on my phone and I can access it at any time. Also available on all of my other electronics where I can access it and print off pieces I may need.

W used for ohm in a number of places
In the ARRL handbook all volumes I find W used for ohm and omega used in other places. This volume is no exception it too uses W for ohm and the omega symbol in other places.

World of information
This book has a wealth of information on antennas. The content of the book is divided into section to make it easy to find answers when questions arise. Highly recommend this book.

Supplemental Downloadable Content Only Available in Print Editions
The description should make clear that the supplemental downloadable content (e.g., the HFTA program and other software) is not available in the Kindle edition. Given that the supplemental content is not available (which is a key feature of this book), the price is too high compared to the print editions.

Worst edition of this book ever released. Really amateur job (no pun intended)
W used for ohms in many places. Several pictures and formulas missing, making it essentially useless. See ch 2 for example. Other notation conventions, e.g. the use of lambda replaced by a small 'L', are distracting and inconsistent. Sometimes they use a lambda and other times an l. I decided that the 22nd edition was better than this 24th edition. It is almost unusable unless you already know the material. Their use of W for ohms is teaching newbies that the unit of impedance is Watts. I do not know if these errors are in the printed book, but I suspect they are. The errors do not seem to be related ro translating to kindle format. The editing staff of this book doesn't have a good history. My 22nd edition came with a cdrom that had a trojan virus on it.

Great source of information!
This book is a great source of information and I would have given 5 stars for this but the constant use of W instead of omega for ohms (although parts of the book use omega) means it loses 2 stars from me. W is for Watts not Ohms!

Standard book for all HAM’s
Bit too much American style, not necessary always good for global audience but understandable as it is ARRL. Explains antennas really good. Mind you, it is part of a large series, so if you are a serious antenna worker, just buy the whole set (expensive !)
