Easy to use efficient heater
The device can be installed into a socket on the wall (have electrician run a 240VAC Outlet). If it ever needs repair, it would be easy to remove. It generates a nice air flow of heat and is a great addition to almost any shop

To small for me.
My garage is 20 by 24 when the temperature is in 30’s it doesn’t put out enough heat, but that’s my fault. Should have ordered a larger unit. Ps I had the thermostat set at 55.

This actually works well
Seems well built . Brought my insulated workshop of 400 sq. ft . from 32 degrees to 53 degrees in two hours. I would suggest that you wire it on a stable surface before hanging . I had a lot of trouble connecting the wires while it was swinging in mid-air, standing on a ladder .

Excellent
My garage is roughly 620 sq ft and maintains a temperature between 45-50 degrees on days it was in the 20's. This thing got my garage up to 75 degrees. May be able to go higher but 75 is the highest I attempted to set the thermostat. You'll need 10/2 wire and a 30 amp breaker at minimum. I wired a 240 volt outlet to my breaker box and attached a cord with a plug rated for 240v and 30 amps to the heater itself rather than wire the heater directly to the breaker box.

Buy at own risk
Was a great heater for 2 days. It made an electric arch noise and stopped working. Called support line and was told they could only offer limited support because heater was to be installed by an electrician. After I told her I was an electrician she then asked when and where I bought it from. After I told then Amazon her tone changed and she was very happy to tell me to just mail it back to Amazon for a refund.

Time will tell if adequate for 440sf residential garage
At first this unit warmed the unheated garage from 50 to 60 degrees in under 1/2 hour, but is was 44 degrees outside temp. Now with 20 degree outside temp, it runs continuously for the past 2 hours and room getting to 68 degrees. Still beats my 1500 Watt Pelonis portable heater that this is replacing, but it will not heat your floor much, just shoulder height (in my case even with the low 7' ceiling). The Pelonis didn't do that either, but at least it sat on the floor and made some convection. This does not.I might re-rate this after using it more. So far, it's "OK" but no miracle cure to my unheated space and the heat dispersal is vertically uneven -- a full 10 degree difference from shoulder level to your feet.1. Upon initial start, felt immediately dizzy while remaining in garage to monitor operation. Oils burning off?2. Instructions misleading regarding thermostat settings. Unit does NOT warm room to desired setting on LED readout. Instead, Room temp is some 15 degrees below set point. Must set unit at 80 degrees to get room to 65 degrees while it is 20 degrees outside. 440sf Garage is insulated, walls & door and a low ceiling.3. Can't direct air down toward floor as car is parked in front of unit. Makes working under car a 50 degree experience while room at shoulder level is 65!4. Instructions confusing about Power Level. Down arrows light up both FAN and HEAT and UP arrows turn off HEAT light. Counter intuitive.5. Sound level of fan is 47 dB at 10 feet. Loud for a small garage. Would prefer fan stay on at slower "cruise" once temp reached instead of shutting off/on.6. Installation requires stranded cord STO. Should advise and include ring terminals for hook up.

Delivers heat but not the best quality
I purchased this heater to replace another brand that failed. I discovered that this heater was built with lower gauge metal and its quality seemed less robust than the one I was replacing. The replacement was made more difficult due to the electrical connectors being screw type, not the clamp type as on the original heater and thus they required that crimp loop terminals be installed on the wire ends. There was insufficient space as well as access in the termination area that also made the connection a pain.Once installed, I discovered that the heater did operate OK from the front panel as well as from the remote control.I would summarize that the unit does work out of the box, as advertised, albeit with all the installation issues I encountered.Whether I would purchase another will be based upon my experience going forward.
