Really 48? I keep seeing reviews that people only received 1

I ordered 3 boxes and received only 3 folders.

Is this the price for an entire carton of folders, or just 1 folder?

I believe that was the price for an entire carton of, I believe, 48. However, I ordered these nearly three years ago, and I can't be absolutely sure of how many were in a carton. I do recollect it was more than I needed, and I had to return some of them.
