My son wanted a Cosmo robot after seeing some videos on YouTube. However, as they are nearly £200 and only available second hand these days, I thought this looked like a good alternative -and it is. After seeing a review saying it was no good in the UK, I was wary but did some research and it is fine!I downloaded the app from the play store onto my (Samsung) phone and my son's tablet. The app is in English and works as you would expect and as you need it to. Check that you can download too before buying, but it was no problem at all for me: I searched and downloaded it just like any other.Pixy does come from Italy and the box and instructions are in Italian, but this is no problem. For a robot toy, it's very straightforward and you don't really need them if you have a little play around with it. I did download Google Translate though and just buy hovering your camera over the text, it translates it to English anyway so this is a way around it if you do feel you need to read them.Pixy the robot doesn't speak (although it does make a few 'cute' noises) so there is no language barrier there at all.Once you have Pixy (it takes 4 AA batteries), you have two options:1) use the different cubes to play a few games with it. Pixy will dance, follow you, avoid obstacles, follow a line and push objects depending on which cube you put into its back. Note: the cubes appear to be different colours in the images of the advert but they are not. They are all see through until you put them into Pixy and then they light up. There are different images on the top of each cube so you can work out which one does what, but it's not obvious at a glance.2) put the Bluetooth cube in and open the app. From here you can control Pixy as you would a remote control car, set up a simple code for Pixy to follow instructions (eg, forward for 3seconds, turn right, forward for 7 seconds, spin around...) or you can draw/write onto a grid which you can then transfer into Pixy's 'face' screen.My son is 7 and is very happy with Pixy. If he was older or very interested in the technical aspects of robotics, this might be too simple, but as a relatively straightforward robot toy (which doesn't cost the earth), Pixy is a good product and I would recommend it.

I bought this product for my son for Christmas.Unfortunately, when we opened it Christmas morning all the instructions where in Italian and worse yet we couldnt download the App to operate the toy because it is not available in the UK.THE PRODUCT IS MEANT TO BE SOLD IN ITALY ONLY!Needless to say I contacted and flagged the issue to Amazon who were swift with a refund. I also contact the manufacturer (See attached response) and they confirmed it should not be sold outside of the UK.Very poor experience from the seller and Amazon who should vet these people better. Ruined my Sons Christmas .

After coming across this when searching for a suitable coding robot for our son, we purchased for Christmas. It was just over £55 and advertised as working with the amazon kids fire as well as iOS and other android devices by ‘simply’ downloading the app. We have searched high and low and the app is not available on the App Store in the U.K. on Apple App Store, Google Play Store or amazon App Store. We are extremely irritated after searching to ensure we could use it on his amazon kids fire or an iPad. The robot can be used very basically without the app but unless you have it, it’s pretty useless. My son will be gutted when I tell him it has to go back.As a side note, we purchased from amazon U.K. and came direct from them on Prime and not a third party or anything like that. Do not buy if you’re in the U.K.

An sich ein preiswerter Roboter, wenn es denn funktionieren würde. Die Anleitung ist auf Italienisch. Die IOS App nicht vorhanden. Wenn man wie wir noch ein Android Tablet (wir haben drei) hat, dann hat es insgesamt nur zwei mal geklappt ihn per Bluetooth zu verbinden. Sehr schade. Da hat jemand an der Software gespart. Macht ihn lieber ein wenig teurer, dann aber vernünftig.

Ce n'est pas précisé dans le descriptif mais le robot est en italien et il n'est pas possible de modifier la langue !! Grosse déception car le robot à est vraiment trop mignon !

Il gioco è molto divertente e ben fatto. Le attività proposte sono molte ed alcune anche educative. I miei nipotini di 4 e 9 anni se lo contendono continuamente. Ottimo prodotto.

Am Anfang ist alles toll. Nach dem 4 Tag nahm die Lust zum spielen ab.. jetzt nach 2 Wochen ist er eine nette Erinnerung... Vielleicht ist mein Sohn auch einfach zu alt dafür (10).

Do 5 stelle per il giocattolo è bellissimo e divertente dato che ho visto dei video, ma ancora non lo apro ancora perché non è ancora arrivato il compleanno di mia figlia, che non si aspetta di riceverlo 🥰🥰
