Step2 Shootin' Hoops Junior Basketball Set

I researched a ton of kids basketball hoops for me 2 and 4 year old. I didn't know if they'd care about it so I didn't want to spend too much. This was perfect. Some people complain the hoop comes off too often. It does fall off after a few hard rim shots, but that is better than the whole thing breaking and its very easy to pop back in too. If its that big of a deal you could always screw in something to back to hold it in place. Works great poolside as well. Pros: quality, look, price Cons: rim falls off sometimes but I find it to be a safety feature.

My nephew loved it! I’m happy that this hoop will grow along with him and should give a few more years of use. This unit is built sturdy. However, the ring does come off from time to time. It is easy to reset it back on the backboard. Good product!

Spent a while trying to figure out which kids basketball hoop to buy, and we couldn't be happier with this one. Assemble is easy and the hoop height has a decent amount of adjustment height to it. You can fill the base to give it more sturdiness, but we havent found that it's needed, we just use it as is. It's great to play with our young kids and draining long 3s from across the living room while yelling "kobe!"... as my wife asks herself why she is married to a 36yr old child =) Buy it, make great memories with the kids, and practice your crossover game against your 3.5yr and 1.5yr old kids too.

Pros: Easy assembly; quality toy; fun to play. Our 4 year old has been learning to shoot on it, so the adjustable height is a nice feature. Cons: 1) Basket tends to fall out after taking a couple dozen shots or so. I suppose it's designed that way to prevent the goal from tipping over or breaking, but it can be a little bit annoying. Not a huge problem though. 2) Net is a bit tight, sometimes the ball gets stuck. I imagine that it may loosen up over time. 3) The ball that is included is a cheap rubber ball. I'd recommend getting a little bit heavier mini-ball to play with. Also, the ball is not shipped inflated--you'll need a pump and a needle to fill it. All in all, a good toy for a toddler and a good value for the price.

I don’t know about durability because we just got it. It seems like a good little first basketball hoop. I like that it’s adjustable. This is better than the original non adjustable little tyke hoop. My 3 year old likes it alright. I probably play with it more than she does though. Probably too small for 5 or 6 year old unless they’re short as a 3 year old.

This product is great! We love it because it’s great quality, easy to assemble and it’s portable which means when it rains, my son can play inside the house. Great value as well! Highly recommend if you want to keep your toddler active!

Purchased this for our 20-mth old grandson as a Christmas present. He LOVES it!! The videos and pictures that we get off him playing are priceless! This little boy gets full of excitement every time he gets that basketball through the hoop! I love that it’s adjustable. He didn’t want his Daddy to put it “low”. He likes jumping and trying several times until he gets that ball in!
