Fine Woodworking Best Finishing Techniques

Some time in 2012 Federal environmental laws forced many manufacturers of clear coatings to reformulate their products, causing many products to disappear. As a result, many of the formulations in this book are no longer available. It would be nice if these gifted furniture finishers would update this book and tell us how to use currently available products.

I enjoyed all the articles and learned a lot about different types of finishes.

After reading some chapters from this book and also watching /corresponding with "thewoodshisperer.com", I was able to do decent finish to couple of my work. The recommendation of using dye stains instead of Pigment stain was a huge help. I only use General Finishes water based dye stain and top coat.The pictures are very nice and you can keep this on your coffee table for casual read as well.
