Great for practice
It seems excellent. Not to bouncy, not to loose. Not to quiet, not to loud. It is not the quietest pad, but that's why I bought it. With the softer pad from Meinl (6 inch marshmallow) it's almost to quiet. But now I have both the 12 inch Thomas Lang and the 6 inch marshmallow for different kinds of practice. In fact, the 6 inch pad rests nicely on top of the 12" pad so I can play both at the same time. Works perfectly this way, and the 6" with the foam bottom barely moves around at all whilst playing.

just what I wanted
my friends have some real nice $60 pads, but they all fell in love with this one I bought for myself. It works nice and is great if you don't want to play loud. This size is great and they do sell a smaller one if you are not into the 12 inch. I don't have a stand for it but it can be put on one if you have one.

Great Pad!!!
Great Pad!! I use this pad daily and love how it feels more realistic then other pads on the market. It fits right on the snare and is a little bit louder then a reel feel pad, but is more realistic.

Excellent quality, excellent price!
Great practice pad! Excellent quality. HAs a good weight to it so you know it won’t crawl away from you when your playing. Nice muted sound but still allows for you to hear your beats. I highly recommend for the price!

The best practice pad
This is my favorite practice pad. It has amazing rebound and has tone qualities of a real snare. The edges are more buzzed and the center has more tone

Mediocre product
There are two types of Meinl percussion products. One is made in Germany, durable, of good quality. The other is made in China, pure crap. This one I received is made in China. Why does Meinl percussion allow this? I am very disappointed. The sound is loud, the rebound is not good and the rubber wears out as you use it with drumsticks.
