Hazelnut (Frangelico)

For 10+ dollars, I thought the bottle would be a little bigger.. it is a miniature. The contents are not like Frangelico at all. It is a sort of essence to which you will have to add this and that. Anyway, in order not to bother about returning it, I kept the thing.

But then, I was ordering on Jan. 31, so that my explain my optimism. I was looking for Frangelico and this came up. (I live in a dry county.) It said $10 and shipping weight was 1 lb., so I thought maybe it was an alternate brand of possibly an 8 oz. or other smallish bottle. Got it today, and it's actually an airplane size (.65 oz.) bottle of the stuff you can MAKE into a Frangelico substitute by adding sugar and grain alcohol. The sugar I can find, but I'm not sure about the grain alcohol. Once I do find some, I'll give it a shot and let you know how it compares, but I have a feeling I would have been better off crossing the county line and finding a generic Frangelico at the nearest liquor store - just 20 or so miles away.

Well, normally I don’t right a bad review but this little guy takes the cake. First off the bottle says Hazelnut Liqueur so like everyone else I did not think.I would have to add my own alcohol and sugar to make a drink but was willing to try. The picture is deceptive. It fits in the palm of my hand.Ok my fault for not reading the fine print, but what really sent me to write a review was when I tried to open the bottle. I had to ask my husband to try who is not a weakling by any means could not open it. Next will be the pliers and if we can’t open it, I will be returning on principal.

I read the reviews stating that this product is not actually liqueur, I failed to realize the size and that was a surprise. I got it for a Buche De Noel filling which called for 2 tablespoons which it was only slightly more than. The real disappointment was that no one could taste hazelnut at all..... Definitely not worth the $10 and I see it's up over $13 now! Yikes!

Teeny tiny bottle for $13.88. Not worth it. Tastes awful! Non refundable.

I should have read the reviews before ordering. Wow - what a disappointment! The size was not stated but because it LOOKED like the same size as the other two products displayed, I got careless and assumed it was similar in size. Then it arrived with a broken seal and half empty.

This is a great flavoring. Very rich. For those posting a negative review, read all the information first. It is clearly presented as an essence which is basically a flavoring ingredient. It also states that it comes in a 20ml bottle. No scam here. It is a great product.
