Typical Eswing high quality and performance
I have used Eswing hammers and their small axe for more that 25 years, best joiners hammer you can but IMHO. I required a replacement soft headed hammer as i could not purchase replacement heads for my trusted mallet that has endured a reasonable amount of abuse. Saw this in my search and had a specific task to complete. Not disappointed, it is a quality tool, well made, ergonomic handle, good weight and replacement heads are universally available. Very impressive and if it lasts as long as my Eswing Survival Axe and Joiner's hammer I will be delighted. You get what you pay for and this is a quality hand tool.

As expected , Estwing quality ,BUT !.
A well made product , damaged buy carless ( unprotected ) packaging leading to damage in transit.Well made nice finish before damage, paint chipped from head in 6 places, dents and scuffs and dents to:- "Genuine Hickory Handle " .Although a tool for hitting things ( with non marking faces) , doesn't deserve such poor handling . The tool itself is well made ,nicely balanced with a well shaped handle . I will repair damage myself ,but should I have too ?.Return an option but time and distance factors to be considered , still functional as cosmetic damage. It was purchased new , I will let you decide . shipping in a thin plastic bag with zero other packing , no cardboard or bubble wrap anywhere in sight , poor ,thoughtless ! .
