LEGO Friends 41106 Pop Star Tour Bus Building Kit

When my 9yo received this for Christmas, I'll admit to being torn. Sure it is a glitzy-glammy-girly set, but 700 pieces of Lego building is hard for a guy of my generation to ignore.Now I have built innumerable sets over the years, from my 80's castle and space sets to last year's Lego Louvre, and this is easily one of the most impressive. The pieces and mechanism used to allow the bus to slide open and closed while retaining its impeccable attention are impressive, and the use of some core pieces to create the lavatory and bed are quite clever.The set comes in four numbered bags so you don't have to fish through all the pieces at once while trying to assemble it. The instructions are in two parts and are very easy to follow (are you watching, Mega Bloks?). The stickers are printed on a reflective foil-like sticker paper, so putting them on straight was a better parent project, but otherwise my 9yo had no problem piecing this together with minimal assistance.Beyond being an amazing set in its own right, the tour bus is made almost entirely of core Lego bricks (there are three specialty pieces for the bed and three slide rails along the top that are unique), which means it's a great addition to a collection since the pieces can easily be used and blended with other Legos.

My 9 year old daughter loves the Lego popstar line. She got this for Christmas. This set is do much fun. It took her approximately 3 hours to put together. There is so much detail. This bus even has a bathroom. We were missing a piece and Lego customer service was awesome about sending it out- it took a few weeks. Item was temporarily sold out so we couldn't return. My daughter was a little disappointed at first but it actually turned out great and extended her Christmas excitement by a few weeks. Instead of putting all her sets together in one day she got to spread it out.

My daughter got this for her birthday and she loves it. She is 10 years old, and this was very age appropriate. It took her an hour or so to put it together. All I did was sit with her to hand her the pieces she wanted and I let her do the rest. It was a fantastic challenge for her to get everything right. But the directions are phenomenal! The only time I had to help was right at the beginning when she wasn't keeping the front of the bus and the back of the bus correctly positioned. Right at first when you are putting it together you need to pay attention to what side is the front and the back. If you screw up at this point (which is easy to do since you are just starting and learning how to put it all together) then the doors and little ladder won't fit and you'd probably have to give it another go. But seriously once you get the idea of which side is the front and which is the back, it's very smooth sailing past that point! Totally recommend this to any parent with children of the right age!

Masterful Build - Lots of play value with this buildable Lego Friends tour bus!Right out of the box it was a good experience. The bags were all labeled properly and the directions were very user friendly.The product was very easy to assemble and this has a lot of pieces!My 4 year old started playing with all of the minifigures and accessories and started her storytelling adventures when the bus was only half built but this is how girls play vs. boys. For boys the build is part of the play but for most girls they want to start story telling with the characters. Once the bus was finished the adventures began! The bus includes lots of accessories and build out areas for play on and off the bus. Stop the bus and have a show on the side of the road! Take a break and lounge outside for a while and listen to the DJ spin the tunes!As for storage you can fit most of the pcs inside but it's not really meant to store in bus. The product is very stable and will keep together even when picked up and moved around a lot.Enjoy your your bus adventures!

My girls ages seven and nine got these for Christmas and absolutely love them! My seven-year-old while she needed a lot of help building it, said it's the best gift she's ever gotten🙄… She's really into creative play and has had a lot of fun playing with this and it's staying together amazingly well for Legos. My nine-year-old built it all on her own and really enjoyed that process well.

My almost 6-year old granddaughter asked me for the LEGO Friends Pop Star Tour Bus Building Kit as one of her Christmas presents. She was so excited and happy when she opened her Christmas present from her Mimi. While the age range is 8 - 12, the Pop Star Tour Bus was assembled with some assistance from her Babba by the next morning. My granddaughter loves to show everyone how the bus rolls, expands on each side and has different storage compartments. Of her many LEGO Kits, this is one of her favorites.
